Was visiting the Nam Et-Phou Louey National Park yesterday. Many villagers are employed as boatmen, cooks etc. Some are farmers and who previously hunted are now integrated into park organization to protect and educate about the wildlife.The proceeds from tourism are shared among several villages. Happily there are no commercial enterprises involved so the proceeds (hopefully) stay local.

The sign, The Header word ຫາມ= Ham= Forbidden, it says "Forbidden , if you sell products in this area you will be fined 50,000 gip". Maybe they have to pay or rent space to sell in that area? Great vid as usual. ❤👍👍👍🙏

According to google translate (camera mode), the sign either says "Forbidden if you sell products, you will be fined 50,000". Or it says "Forbidden If you sell Tobacco, you will be fined 50,000".

South East Asia eats too many game animals that are not allowed to be consumed in Africa by law even in West Africa with ebola outbreak government's are so strict on game meat.
