I'm a french hunter and it's always a pleasure to watch jager pro informative videos, keep up the good work my US friends

I was in France watching hunters near Le Pellerin last year. The men stood way up on a hill blowing whistles and the other hunters were waiting at the bottom with shotguns. I was biking with my father in law and wanted to stay and watch but we were told to leave. I think they were hunting hogs.

@@CedroneTravels It's called a "battue", typical french hogs regulation method. Dogs and horsemen scares the hogs toward a line of hunters hidden at the border of the woods. It's very efficient.

The moment I saw that sloppy haphazard pile of dead hogs for the aftermath photo shoot I knew the guy using your trap had absolutely no freaking idea what he was doing. 🤦♂️

Astonishing how hard they ram those gates!

Well that’s because they are a bit pigheaded

A very good vid abnd demonstration. Either do it correctly and accurately - or don't do it and then fumble around for all of the many piglets and pigs that breed-out the area - and ravage it. You have to get the pregnant sows and their fetuses !

I'm confused why Keagan would have dropped the gate with several hogs still outside? That was very sloppy. Was he punished for that?
@KeeganGross8 ай бұрын
Still learning the ropes, mistakes were made and I own that. And yes, I am being punished...day 78 of being locked in one of our traps, being fed only BBQ and bacon. I must become one with my enemy to not make the same mistake again.

a question, if we have 18 pigs inside + a big boar left outside during capture, it is still good or not?

you have failed the mission. you bring disrespect upon your unit. may your sounder be forever educated.
@rodsilva808 ай бұрын
you can come later and shoot the single hog
@JAGERPRO7 ай бұрын
@ronlevin2339 - We do not count adult boars in our Target Package for trapping success as they (usually) do not stay with a sounder unless a sow is in estrus. We will drop gates on the sounder if only an adult boar is outside, then quietly stalk into the wind for a shot if he hangs around. Pregnant and nursing sows are High Value Targets over adult boars.
