@Hickory Flat Boars Yeah make it so it has like a backup alarm or a pig squal to it, bet that would freak them out bigtime lol. Wanna do some hunting some day , I live north of Missouri River, hogs don't swim good, southern Missouri has them.

I needed a little pick-me-up today. Pig-mist does the trick. (Those who participate should get a tax write off, as well as those who would happen to suffer a certain amount of accidental livestock damages. Gotta give a little protection in that area should such happen)

I'm totally in favour of hunting for pest control, and hunting in general when the meat is considered a product to consume. What is beyond me is why don't you sell, eat, give, the boar's meat and profit from it since it's considered a delicacy, at least in some countries of Europe. Why simply waste it to the ground?
@HickoryFlatBoars Жыл бұрын
We don’t do this because we have tried numerous times to give the meat to people. Everyone always says they want it but yet they expect us to field dress and process it all for them and then take it to them. Just not how that’s gonna work with us. So after getting screwed over trying to be nice we now feed the wildlife. We also use to sell the meat to a place that did send it to Europe. They stopped taking dead pigs and now only take live pigs. Which again we now feed the wildlife with them. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
@laserbeam002 Жыл бұрын
The meat from these pigs does not have the mild flavor you are propably used to getting from the supermarket. Because it is wild it tends to be a bit gamey. You have to prepare it right to get the gamey taste out before cooking it. Also, some wild pigs can carry disease. You have to remember....these are not farm raised pigs.
@ronlevin23392 жыл бұрын
The girl have a lot of mussels to pull the big hogs. Why you remove the hogs from the track in the middle of the field ? I though that you collect them for meat
@HickoryFlatBoars2 жыл бұрын
We use to sell them. The place stopped buying them so now we mainly feed the wildlife with them.

I’m an upstate NY suburbanite. I fly fish but I don’t hunt. Never liked killin. But this shit is bonerific. The sound of screaming wounded hogs is music to my ears. Not a fan of hunting coyotes because they remind me too much of domesticated dogs, but I know they are bastards. Every hunter I’ve ever talked to hates coyotes and usually they take a shot at em if the opportunity arises. One time I fished a new spot a mile up a trail in the woods alone with no cell service and stayed way too late. Had to walk my ass all the way back to the car in the pitch blackness and I only had a weak ass iPhone flashlight. But I could 100% sense being followed because I could hear leaves being stepped on behind me, but when I’d stop walking to listen, I wouldn’t hear anything. Half way to the car, I turned around and shined the light, and all I could see were 3 sets of eyes around 30 yards behind me. Pulled out my knife and almost shit my pants. But by the time I made it to my car, there were 5 of those bastards following me. No clue why they didn’t eat my ass. Anyway, I recommend you keep the female coyote underside skin/fur. It’s a dark reddish pinkish grey color. That imitates the body of northeastern mayfly called a Hendrickson. The original catskill Hendrickson dry fly actually called for Red Fox vixen fur for body dubbing, but coyote is an excellent substitute. If I were you, id be listing that pink fur on eBay as a fly tying material. You’d make a shitload of money.
