You know the most peaceful times in my life were lived on the back of my horses. I have horse in my soul. 😊

The view of wild horses is one of the most beautiful and calming sights ever experience in nature.................they should be protected as the animal that has provided the most service to humans in the civilian and armed forces ....in the historic distant past.........

Thank you for such a beautiful video. You must have enjoyed spending time doing that. You brought me right there. I've never seen such beautiful wild horses. How nice for them to have that river there to drink and cool off. They seemed happy. It makes me think of a scripture in the bible that says , that he or God, made every thing beautiful in its time. It’s lovely to see such fat, shiny mustangs. All the wild horses I’ve seen in person always looked on the edge of starvation.

I absolutely love that the band stallions will bond with the bachelors when they're being good. I know quite a few people who think stallions are purely violent creatures who only exist to reproduce and control mares. They'd be quite shocked with a lot of your footage.

Still there. He's with the original band of mares, but instead of Jack, Arrow took them over soon after the gather. Jack chose to live out a solitary life.

@iKadaj5 жыл бұрын
i prefer them this way over seeing people train them for dressage, to have complete control over them even down to the swish of their tail and every single step, covered in foam and straps and not allowed to rear or buck or bite or anything they would normally do, they're only allowed to do what people tell them to do, and they can't breed with who they want to they have to be tied down/sedated/raped/hand-inseminated by a human so people can inbreed the ones they like best regardless of what's best for the horse or what the horse wants, intentionally deforming their faces and ears to make arabians and kathiawaris. i always loved horses back when i was ignorant but the more i learn about them the more i feel they shouldn't really be people's pets. i'm starting to only like horses if they are allowed to exist without human interaction, with nobody sitting around on their backs telling them what to do and how to behave.

You know it would be nice to go on Horseback and catch your own Wild Horse those are just ringing so did I've had since I was a little girl probably never do ever I just go and buy one from the BLM but why is the government allowed to catch them and we're not we do pay their pay our taxes which pays our paychecks and we are all Americans so why can't we go out and catch your own Wild Horse like we used to in the 1800

This South Steens HMA like all HMAs since the 1971 WHB Act, has a prescribed gather every 4-5 years. The South Steens are handled a little differently, Oregon BLM works with our group- Oregon Mustang Group (can find us on fb), and conduct small annual bait-trap gathers. 2009 was the last large-scale helicopter gather. Since the South Steens has had a 100 horse gather 2016, then again 2017, 2018, and most recently a small gather in September 2020 taking out about 212 horses.
