That transmitter was god awful, way too big, the plumage on the birds back was permanently ruffled, hindering camouflage and screwing up the birds ability to shed rain water. How about not tracking them until we have small discreet transmitters that aren’t a burden to the bird.

I think a bunch of them have shown up in my back yard here in Houston, mid August. Extremely loud a good part of the night.
