Intelligent bird and so beautiful to watch in fantastic flight... Will miss them 😢 Summer has left Wexford, Ireland 🇮🇪...Sept 19th 2021. What a lovely year seeing them bring joy & colour around Ireland, but especially when they come back to same nest year after year that's incredible. Until, We all ''Swallows'' meet again ...keep safe in flight till 2022.

Thank you for this wonderful video, Eric. I am passionate about the white throated swallow from Africa, but am in awe of the migration done by the barn swallow.

NOBODY wants those fucking demon birds flying around why the hell do we even need those flying rats anyways that multiply rapidly. Federally protects from an act 100 years ago fuck that, the only bird that should be protected are American bald eagles.

When i was a child i would often see swallows on the tall school building near my house and whenever i visit my granny i would see them. But now 20years later i dont see them anymore, really sad. As a kid i was mind blown when someone said they travel to a different place in winter and come back with the summer.

They became my comfort. They just left my area Northern Cape province in South Africa, 8 April 2024. One flew into our house and out again. I'm sure it came to bid us farewell until next Spring 🥰

On the first sight of a swallow in spring, we would make sure all the top doors of our barns and buildings were open , to enable the swallows to return to the nests they had left when migrating. We loved t h e swallows and as children were always told never to kill a swallow, it would bring bad luck. The game back yway after year. Thank you for your wonderful video. John age 93

whales along the Pacific Coast in Us and Canada have changed migration routes. They travel 1000s off miles to reach rich feeding grounds. The trip was always risky but now whales show up so exhausted and thin they die or struggle to get well. Whatever we do as humans has affected nearly every species on earth and many that are gone.....how much will we lose before we stop the greedy .

My swallows come back every year in Tasmania Exeter, They shit on my car collection in the garages (Barns) and my neighbours.. I never destroy their nests.. I can't feed them because we have so much food and nesting material here and they love to build or upgrade the old nest and feed their young with our natural resources .. I cover my cars, I look forward to every year they come back they arrived back here 07/09/2020 shit on everything I own... for months.. then disappear. :) they are beautiful friendly dart around me my body between my legs...and family while I am working in the shed ..garage etc..they dart so close to my ears.. I ignore it coz I know they wont hurt me... my cats ignore them the swallows are welcome here. every year they double.I have rescued 3 so far and they still comback.
