I can't believe there are only 20,000 lions left in the wild!!! In 1970 there were ~250,000 lions around. What happened? Please keep up your agenda Kevin we need more, lots more, of voices like yours out there, who can preach facts and speak eloquently and clearly about these matters. Thank you for fighting the good fight and as always; the world needs more lions!!! ❤🦁🐾❤️

Having worked in the conservation area, what you say in this video is very real. To maintain a healthy environment for our beloved wild lions, there has to be a great deal of factors to consider. Food and water sources being a large part of the consideration. Too many lions can deplete the prey very rapidly, leading to serious problems. This is a sensitive subject. Thank you for raising it. Public awareness is very important. Thank you.

Would imagine the last thing (most) viewers on your channel would want is to put down a lion. SAVE habitat SAVE lions is One of the slogans From your clothing shop. An alternative is to buy up more land & the reason I joined/donated to the KR foundation. On a different note, Niaobe and Echo are doing really well, thx to u!!

Kevin your educational videos do not go unnoticed! A year or so ago family friends went on a cruise and bragged about the best part: a lion cub petting session. While everyone on social media was enamored with the cub (b/c it was adorable), I told them exactly what i learned about lion cub petting, how they keep them small and what they do to those growing lions once they start getting bigger. That is information I learned from you, George & Yame. People really are uninformed and think of only their own self interest. HBD Echo & Naiobi!!

Amen, thank you for this information & education videos, I'm always watching, and a big animal lover myself, yes, people must know what is really going on in the world, the real TRUTH, I was so MAD when you told the story about George & Yame, how they were fed very little so that they could stay small for the animal petting part, that is so so CRUEL, I cried my eyes out, I appreciate all your hard word & effort that you are putting in for your beloved animals, I did read your book "Part of the Pride" and thoroughly enjoyed it, keep it going Kevin, God bless you and all His beautifull creatures 😇😇😇😇🤗🤗🤗🤗💕💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏🙏

Kevin, the work you do through your projects cannot be understated. Your Land for Lions project is growing and expanding area for the lions to roam, and that is one of my favorite parts of these projects. Doing the Eco-Tourism as well to educate people allowing them a hands on experience with your Pride also makes me smile to hear updates about. You have a mission that is so incredibly important to all of us and we love and support you in everything you do.

It’s wonderful to see Echo and Naiobi it’s also a reminder that the gentleman of all Lions Siam is missing, a much loved lion. I always listen to the educational side whether it’s yourself or other African charities I support. As it’s not easy and it’s trying to come to a solution that would work for everyone but it’s not a perfect world and very unlikely that you’ll ever please everyone. As an animal lover I try to understand all points of view, we keep on and fight the good fight❤️🦁❤️🦁

Let's go Kevin! Great video. Also worth noting I've found that a lot of animal rescue videos are fake, and the animals owner often purposefully puts the animal in danger or hurts the animal to make the video.

Echo and Naobi are beautiful girls. Before watching this video I never understood what complex and emotive issue this was. The lions need more land for their numbers and the human population is also expanding and requires more land too. If they have to euthanise some lions hopefully they would chose the less healthy lions but it must be a hard decision and I’m sure one which is not taken lightly . Thank you for educating us in this and thank you for giving all the animals at the sanctuary such a lovely life.

Happy Birthday Echo and Naiobi!🦁🦁Naiobi and then Echo when they first came out the gate and were taking their time to get going were just so cute! "An all day walk" indeed. And then: "Freedom!"😄Thanks so much for this important video. Please be encouraged to post more videos like it, even if it goes against people's "like" tendencies. I certainly learnt something new, even though I have heard you talking about a similar topic in a previous video. If we want to preserve lions, we must act with our heads as well as our hearts and in this day of quick emotive response it's really important to engage in deepening people's understanding. Thank you again!! PS: I would totally donate money to buying of land! What a sensible, forward-looking idea. :)

This video tells us that there are no easy answers for the conservation of lions. We must trust that those who are in positions that decide the fate of the lions know what steps will work the best with as little culling as possible. Thank you Kevin for giving us the truth of the situation. It is too easy to think that all is rosy and there are no hard decisions to be made moving foreward.

I agree with you, Kevin. What is the most important about this situation is that at the end of the day what is best for the lions and the people that have to live with them in these areas is to do it humanely. If this means euthanizing then so be it. More than likely it would be shot by the landowners if the lions are causing damage. Thank you, Kevin for doing what you do and educating us and the world at large. Unfortunately, with social media people tend to hide behind a screen and become “experts” on the topic they are commenting on. Much love from 🇨🇦 ❤❤

This issue is complex and involve a lot of strong feelings! We all love Lions and doesn't want them to decline in the wild and on the other hand we want Lions to live a life in the wild with normal stressors they can adapt to! And if there are to many lions in one place the stressors will create a horrible life for lions even if they are free!! Buying a lot of land gives perfect meaning! As a lion lover I want to save as many lions as possible and to many in one place is not a solution! Lions needs space and lots of land all over Africa except in the north were there are to many people! Thanks for the video, I hope the human race will understand how important it is to protect lions in Africa the best way❤

Kevin your continued efforts to share your life with all the lions in your care is beautiful. Your time is not lost on us. The information you share with us is very enlightening. Sadly the course of the lives of the wild lions is always facing hurdles and of course the needs for the illegal trade to be controlled is a daily battle. What becomes of the lives of the lions in the wild if no one steps in. It will never be an easy task. The choices are never what one would wish to make such as there will offer. It simply is not an essy answer. Death compared to what makes it easy to find an answer. This is sadly no easy answer to keep population in reasonable control from all corners of the world from which the numbers surface. It is a sadness which carries hard decisions. 😢🙏❤️

I'm so pleased you addressed this very difficult topic. I'm also pleased to hear that the "dump them into the hunting camps" isn't really much of the conversation anymore. I love that you're focusing on the seed of the problem - space for them to live and thrive. There will always be needs to control reproduction though... as the more space you have the more you use as the population expands to fill it. I love the partial spay idea - had not heard of that. Thank you for your education!

Happy b-day to two of my favorite girls: Echo & Naiobi!!! I'm glad to hear their health issues are resolving. It's wonderful seeing Naiobi & Echo enjoying their senior years!!!! Once again, you took a VERY heated emotional issue and articulated it very well from several points of views to show what difficult decisions need to be made with lion/land conservation. I know you are following your heart & your head to do what you can to actually contribute in a way you think is best not only for the lions, but everyone involved. Thank you, Kevin, for all you do not only for the lions but for all animals.

Kevin, I absolutely Love watching your videos & the education you provide and thank you for it & the care you provide for such majestic animals. Lions, aren't small cats and need more than a yard or cage to survive . "Land" acquisition is the best method to help these magnificent cats. I wish you all the luck, love and hope in attaining such places. I'm a mere 9 to 5er struggling just to stay afloat. If had 1million dollars I'd give you 1/2 just as a thank you for all you do and endure. God BLess you sir.

Very interesting, informative video Kevin. Like most "big" issues the conservation and care of lions doesn't seem to have one simple answer. Thank you for the information. It was cool to see Naiobi in such an upbeat, playful mood. Have a great day.

Kevin, I've been binge watching your videos since I bumped into one of your videos a few months ago. Thanks for an entertaining window on wildlife conservation and some of the challenges you face. This video helped me see conservation is not skin deep, very complex.
