Lovely version Anna and I've decided without re-listening that the drone note on your hurdy gurdy is D. I've never heard laddie in the words before but there again folk songs always have many versions. I remember Alex Campbell singing this song back in the 70s. He always finished his set with it and he was always three sheets to the wind. Happy days.

Lovely rendition of one of my all time favourites particularly like the hurdy gurdy accompaniment it sounds similar to Francis McPeake on the ullian pipes with the drone .

I just recently found your channel and I'm really glad I did. This is a wonderful tune and beautifully sung! Claire is working on my Exo-skeleton in her current batch, and it's great to see one of her instruments in action!

One of my all time favorites, I love that you chose the hurdy gurdy to play along. I do The Corries version off course skipping the gaelic verse, o ye and in cowboy way too .. ;-) Love singing along with you on this song. Absolute beauty. I hope Wilde Roses will post videos soon. Thanks for sharing !!!
