Amazing there’s lots of them on that mango tree

They're very loud too. They hit every mango tree in the area. At night it's the rats eating the mangoes. The ones that fall without being eaten bust open when hitting the ground.

First, not sure why those mangoes decide to play hide and seek with parrots on a mango tree. Who would have thought that mangoes, would be so easily spotted by the cunning parrots? Those mangoes never stood a chance. I can almost feel the sadness of those poor, defenseless mangoes when they got devoured by these parrots, maybe the parrots were just really hungry or had a particular craving for the sweet taste of victory. Still, can't really blame the mangoes for wanting to join in some innocent tree-top fun. But taking on such agile competitors was clearly planting the seed of their own defeat. Once the hungry parrots caught whiff of an easy snack in the making, it was game over for our mango friends. ❤

still rocking the OG gh5 nice. thoughts on the new G9ii? i traded my gh5 for the gh5ii, even though its a tiny bit upgraded its nice to have USB charging and a nice brighter evf, with the bonus of animal detect haha. the birds are colorful yet they can act oddly goofy. to me at least.

Yeah, I've had the GH5 since 2017. Its only issue is the mic jack no longer works. I only get static. The audio you hear is from the internal mics. I have those stick-on mini deadcats on it. I would love a G9ll. It's not in the budget right now. My old Jeep Cherokee wants all of my $. I do have a G9 that has the same mic jack issue. Unfortunately, the internal mics are in a hard location to put the wind blockers on. Those birds are in the mango tree every morning. They can be both entertaining and annoying.

@@lavapix ouch i never heard of the mic jack failures happening, probably because i dont use it. id probably go for the route of using an external audio recorder for audio to save wear on the mic jack, since afaik the metal tabs on the insides of the jack can wear or bend out of shape. but youd have to put the audio separately in post though.

I use two other devices to record backup audio if ever needed when out in the field. Both far away from me so they don't pick up me moving around.@@ProbablyAnAmateur
