Brilliant! This trip is a real revelation 😁 and I can see a difference in your energy and enthusiasm from van life. Or maybe I just saw the frantic side and sadder stuff like the break-ins? My son taught himself Japanese (inc all 3 alphabets) just because he was interested in the history and culture - now he wants to take it to Uni, including study there and maybe emigration after that. He's been watching your trip with a great interest! Thanks!!
@phillyandkeely2 жыл бұрын
That is epic. I started teaching myself Japanese last year. Was making good progress on first two alphabets, but once the third one came in I was lost 🤣🤣 it honestly makes my brain hurt so much. I am very very very impressed with your son. It's an awesome country he will love it I'm sure! Yeah we definitely had alot of shit times in the van. But we feel ready to take on vanlife again soon. Before back to Martha we are gonna try our hand at some Japan vanlife to warm us up haha
@examinerian2 жыл бұрын
@@phillyandkeely Japanese vanlife sounds like a great idea - I wonder if they do one of those diddy K-Car vans as a camper...?! 🤪 😂 My son (Jamie) is currently helping out at Teikyo Durham uni whilst finishing Y13 at school. They have a few people who help visiting Japanese students with English, and he gets to learn more conversational stuff going out to meet one or two of them. Teikyo have about 5 campuses in the greater Tokyo area, so he might even get to study in one of those, since they already know him from that, but we'll see - it'd need some sort of scholarship support, if he can snag one of the few on offer, though he may also be able to work as a TESOL Teaching Assistant whilst out there. We're all from Yorkshire, living in Durham, but he thought it'd be funny if he can get students over there to learn a bit of Geordie... Gan canny!

There was a lot of beautiful things in this video . I'm especially glad you got to get in the sea . Keely I realize it's all about the math but I'm thinking your students might be quite disappointed with your pronunciation over in Japan . Google those words and touch where Google will say the word for you by looking at the definition . Was that a new swimsuit ? Glad to hear you've got a working drone . You do both seem to be so much relaxed . It's right there in your face . Personally I'd be afraid of being lost everyday and getting arrested for committing a crime I didn't know I'd even committed . Like stepping on a protected plant or something crazy like that . The poor van , so alone , so alone, all alone .
