Beautiful, thank you. I have often been asked about the great sadness and nostalgia that we have in some of our music and that can be felt by free spirited old souls. For those of us who are Highland Scots I have always believed in my memories and feelings that tell me what my wise men used to speak about on certain occasions, we have a memory of the last Golden Age. May it soon return. Thank you again for sharing my childhood with me 💙

There is something magnetic about the sea and sea shores, especially in such beautiful surroundings. You've captured the beauty, isolation, peacefulness all truly therapeutic ... right up to the point when you jump into near freezing water. Brave lassie, but a great video, thanks.

The unique sensation of cold dips is so good for blood flow and the skin. Thank you so much for answering my curiosity about Scottish waters. As I watched the end while you were purging sadness, I knew that another dip would reawaken emotional awareness in the best of ways.

Hullo Alexandra. I've just discovered your channel. So now binge watching to catch up. I had the privilege of renting a cottage on the Isle of Lewis, 3 years ago, before the world went mad. Love the isolation, the ruggedness of the Outer Hebrides. Having seen 75 summers, I don't think I'm hardy enough to swim in the sea in those temperatures. Yes in my teens I have swum in a mountain lake at 2500ft altitude, during our Nz winter. Not anymore though. . Loving your channel. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for taking the time to upload. I’m so glad your video found me. I could feel myself calming inside as it played, heart rate slowing and anxiety disappearing. I know the feelings that you have shared all too well. The anticipation of setting off, the first sight of the water takes me back to my childhood, “I can see the sea!” we would shout after a short, or sometimes long, drive in my parents car. Giving myself up to the cold water, completely, in that moment, then feeling it gradually wrap around you like a warm blanket, or like a hug from a loved one. Then walking out and feeling the, once cool breeze, now warm air on your skin, the soles of your feet connecting with the sand as they did thousands of years ago for our ancestors. Then the joy of warming up, a hot drink, a sweet treat, again, like you’re being hugged. Then just sitting. Calm. At peace. Just looking at the vistas, hearing the ocean even more. Simplicity.
