Their father was an amazing playmate for them and 'helped' begrudgingly when i asked. Even when he had a mini melt down in the grocery store because I was out of town for the weekend and kids are hard(something that would have gathered me a minimum of ugly looks and likely several hurtful and unhelpful comments about how in doing it wrong), he got 5 people offering encouragement and telling him he's doing great. @nelsonrogers699 ай бұрын
She knew that they were for sale and profited from the sale then trashed the buyer after sellers remorse. Scooter sold them soon after and she still didn't want them.
@kerrynriley81659 ай бұрын
@@nelsonrogers69 You are wrong. For starters, ‘sellers remorse’ implies regret after an agreement to a sale and a change of heart later. That is not what happened as she wasn’t even in the position to agree to a sale, she didn’t own the masters so how could she agree to sell them, to someone else plus she didn’t know about the potential sale to Scooter Braun. When her contract was up at Big Machine Records, Taylor asked the record label owner Scott Borchetta (who signed her at 16, was her friend and that she saw as her 2nd father) if she could buy her masters. He did not allow her to buy them outright but offered for her to ‘earn’ them back. She was required to re-sign and for every new album turned in she could get one back. As Taylor normally dropped a new album every 2 years it would take her 12 years to get back her original 6 masters but would then have another 6 albums tied up that she didn’t own. Not a very fair offer. Taylor wanted to own her art outright, because those songs intrinsically represented her life and also so she could control how they were used whether it be for commercials/films, etc, so this deal was not acceptable. Taylor was Big Machine Records first signed artist (Taylor's father also kicked in some money to help Scott to get Big Machine Records off the ground) and her catalogue formed 80% of its holdings. Without Taylor’s knowledge, Scott Borchetta sold Big Machine Records to her enemy Scooter Braun and Scott was well aware of this fact as they had had many discussions about how she did not like Scooter Braun. This was an utter betrayal by Scott Borchetta. Scooter Braun had always wanted to manage Taylor but she did not want him to so he thought he could ‘own her’ instead - his words - by buying her masters and forcing her to make money for him. Scooter went on to sell her masters to another company even though he knew she wanted them and did not give her the option to buy them either. This is just plain nastiness and designed to punish her for not doing as he wanted. Taylor then was in discussion with the new owners to buy her masters from them but discovered that Scooter Braun held a stake in that company too and she would still be making money for him. As a result, she decided to not buy her masters but rerecord them all instead. That’s a boss move. She wanted to buy her own masters outright and at no point was she ever given that option and she did not profit from the sale either. This occurred because she was being punished for not agreeing to unreasonable terms. So next time, get your facts straight. Or perhaps you didn’t want to because you’re just on the ‘Taylor Hate’ bandwagon. Seriously, I don’t understand what the hell is wrong with you people. You must be a very sad person indeed to go out of your way to try and take down good people that have not wronged you in any way.

The other real thing about this song is that a lot of the specifics apply to her, but the general feeling is 1000% still just what it’s like to be a woman. We aren’t allowed to be angry or we are a bitch. We can’t be too nice or we might be a slut. We can’t have too much money because we must have slept our way to the top, but if we are too poor then we are probably just looking for someone to pay our way. I like the inclusion on the man taking his kid to the park. People will tell a man he is a great dad for taking his kid to the park but won’t do the same thing for the mom. 😅
