Coleman is a US marshal like Gordon
@Syryu3 жыл бұрын
I read that there was a deleted scene where Gordan shares his backstory. He was supposed to be a former actor who worked in the same acting troupe as John Wilks Booth. After Booth killed Lincoln, Gordon felt guilty because he felt that he missed the signs that Booth was up to something and signed up for federal service as a sort of atonement. I wish they included that because it explains Gordan's need to wear disguises for every mission, his flair for the dramatic, and his aversion to guns and violence since he never served in the army or anything beforehand.

I think the popular opinion with Wild Wild West isn't so much that it's not funny, it's just some viewers consider it too silly. I've always thought this scene was good.
@adrianpale23425 жыл бұрын
@@elamplough1 It was kind of clear that the director and crew knew they were making an absurd and silly movie and just went with it. I think from the trailers and of course, based off the tv show, most audiences were expecting something more badass like bad boys or something. But if you just accept the silliness it's actually a decent movie. Maybe one to smoke too or drink to with friends

At least George Clooney had the sense to dump this project especially since he was set to only co-star as Gordon. The combined stink of WWW and Batman & Robin may not have ended his career but it would have permanently damaged it.

Will Smith learned a lesson though and typically shies away from potentially shitty movies because of this

The Great One correct. Will Smith said that on an interview. But he praised keanu Reeves for replacing him. Even though wild wild west wasn't all that bad but it was a box office success, grossing over 200 million USD against a domestic budget 170 million USD worldwide.
