Im at home, alone with my dog. Didnt bother to set the tree this year. Didnt bother to get any fancy food, just a glass of diet coke, a bowl of potatochips, and two saussagerolls in the oven... But Ive got it good, warm, healthy, safe! This video is the closest I got to xmas this year and it made me feel good :-) Thanks guys X

In the first years of our marriage we lived kind of on the edge of town and country. Our then 3 year old daughter woke up early and was looking out the window at deer in our back yard. She didn't want to wake us up, so she dragged a chair to the back door and climbed up on it to unlock the door. Shortly after I woke up and went downstairs and made coffee. Everything seemed very normal until I sat down with my first cup and looked out the window to see our little girl petting two deer not 5 feet from the window.... That was over 30 years ago now and I still remember the look on her face like it was this morning..... Merry Christmas!!!!!

I recently went to my 50th reunion at Davis and Elkins College where I learned of the Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center, in Davis WV. I learned to ski after I graduated. I wished that place existed back then. It looks like so much fun for the family. My grandkids go to Colorado for skiing along with teenage relatives and have become hot shots on the slope. It definitely is a good sport to learn. Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year.
