The hot springs and the geysers are amazing, especially the Grand Prismatic and Old Faithful. Very few moments in life are quite as surreal as sitting next to a creek or river , late at night, by yourself in Yellowstones Lamar Valley and hearing the Erie howl of wolves. 2 years in a row now I've covertly camped in Lamar Valley, away from all the tourists. (The west entrance area is terrible for crowds and traffic) The sounds of wolves, elk, owls and the babbling creeks, remain in my mind year round
@Ryan-mx3rx2 ай бұрын
I was there a month ago. Only one day, but I saw a big bull moose, two wolves, 30 plus elk, and could've spit on 40 plus bison. One of the wolves and the grizzly were nose to nose on a kill. All in one day. My aunt and uncle live in Hamilton Montana, approx 6 hrs away so we made it a 2 day trip overall. We did the mammoth loop through the Hayden Valley. Do yourself a favor if you get there, make sure you spend at least a week in the park. One day, regardless of what I was fortunate to see, is nowhere near enough time. It's amazing.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's true that animals often attack humans due to survival instincts or hunger. What a view of the emerald of America’s parks. One noticeable item: the National Bald Eagle is shown with what sounds like a red tailed hawk screech…it is a common mistake in film…I am no expert: but the Haliaeetus leucocephalus rarely if ever makes sounds in flight.

Thank you for such a detailed and insightful comment! 😊 You are absolutely correct that the sound of the Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) is often mistaken for the call of the Red-Tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) in many films. What salmon in Yellowstone do those grizz eat??
@wildnatureus20244 ай бұрын
Grizzly bears in Yellowstone primarily eat cutthroat trout, not salmon. The native Yellowstone cutthroat trout (Oncorhynchus clarkii bouvieri) is a critical food source for grizzlies, especially during the spring when the fish spawn in shallow waters. These fish are found mainly in Yellowstone Lake and its tributaries. Thanks for the question! If you’re enjoying the content, don’t forget to subscribe for more wildlife info.

Sockeye salmon
@wildnatureus20244 ай бұрын
@@ReshaudMcKenzie Thanks for your question! Actually, grizzlies in Yellowstone don’t eat sockeye salmon since they don’t live in that area. Caught one major error: it states internal pack disputes are often deadly and 30% of wolves die from this in Yellowstone. This is wrong in fact internal pack disputes very very rarely end in death. The 30% number is in reference to pack conflicts: ie battling other packs.
@wildnatureus20244 ай бұрын
Thanks for pointing this out! Indeed, internal disputes within wolf packs rarely result in deaths. 30% of deaths are actually due to conflicts between different wolf packs, not within packs. @@wildnatureus2024 Well, there's one more problem: the wolves' noises are too much. It would be best if you only used them from time to time. BGM is a little too loud too. I don't know if my idea is referable, but you guys can think about that and find a way to improve.

That's right, in thick snow, bison have a hard time running fast, and the weaker or older ones often get separated from the herd. This is why wolves are such smart predators-they know how to use nature to their advantage when hunting. Thanks for sharing! 🐺❄️ Keep supporting the channel for more exciting hunting scenes! 😊

There are no Red Wolves in Yellowstone so I'm wondering why they are shown in this video.
@wildnatureus20244 ай бұрын
You're correct-there are no red wolves in Yellowstone National Park. The wolves in Yellowstone are actually gray wolves, which were reintroduced to the park in the 1990s. Red wolves are a different species, native to the southeastern United States, and their populations are critically endangered. If red wolves were shown in the video, it might have been an error or an attempt to illustrate a point about wolves in general. Thank you for catching that and bringing it to our attention! We'll make sure to clarify this in future content to avoid any confusion. 👍

34:26 that’s not a bald eagle sound
@wildnatureus20244 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! The sound many associate with the bald eagle is often actually from the red-tailed hawk. In movies or shows, the hawk's call is often used instead because the real bald eagle's sound is softer and less "majestic" than expected. Hope you'll keep supporting the channel!

return the mammals that once dominated North America from South Africa, not to Yellowstone, but to surrounding states that have the identical terrain. Increase cougar population's introduction of Llama, wild boar who habitat on the same terrain This would also decrease the number of wild horses they are forced to prey upon due to a decrease in their prey species in adjacent states in North America

Thank you for sharing such a profound perspective! It’s fascinating to draw parallels between the behavior of predators in the wild and human history. Why would you put a red tail hawk sound over the eagle? I don’t understand. Youre defeating the purpose of being educational with eagles
@wildnatureus20243 ай бұрын
Thank you for pointing that out! Using the sound of a red-tailed hawk instead of an actual eagle's call can indeed be confusing. In many cases, red-tailed hawk sounds are used in films and documentaries because their calls sound more dramatic. However, I agree that this can impact the educational value of the video. Thank you so much for your feedback, I'll be more mindful of this in future videos. 🦅🔊

@wildnatureus20243 ай бұрын

There is Cruelty involved in killing, but to the predators, although, they aren't trying to be cruel they are, its just a fact of life. We as humans are the only predators who dispatch animals humanely. But when species turn on each other, usually sexually motivated; that's when the cuelty is definitely intentional!
@wildnatureus2024Ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing such a profound perspective on the interaction between animals and humans in nature! 🌿 It’s true that “cruelty” in the natural world isn’t intentional but part of the survival cycle. Predators act on instinct to ensure their survival. What makes humans unique, however, is our ability to reflect on ethics and strive to minimize suffering for the animals we utilize. When it comes to cruelty within a species, particularly when sexually motivated, it often reflects more complex social and biological factors. Thank you for bringing up such an interesting topic for reflection! I’d love to hear more of your thoughts! 😊🌟

Hard enough trying to outrun a pack of wolves but to have your own push you under is horrible. Not really family oriented, are they.
@wildnatureus2024Ай бұрын
It’s true that nature can be harsh, and sometimes such actions among wild animals can be quite surprising. 🐺 Wolves typically live in tight-knit packs with a strong social structure, but when survival is the top priority, “unfamily-like” behaviors can happen, especially during conflicts over food or dominance. Great video, except for the use of alternative video that doesn't represent Yellowstone. Also, the constant re-use of video clips doesn't add any value. Finally, climate change is natural, and wildlife will always adapt. Bringing up climate change is not helpful. Things like forest fires in Yellowstone are generally caused by a) the refusal of the parks service to allow people to use the deadfall (fire fuel) and b) the constant fighting of forest fires, a natural occurrence that many species of evergreen trees require to regenerate (won't seed until a fire).
@wildnatureus20244 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😊 I appreciate your perspective on the use of alternative footage and repeated clips in the video-it’s important for us to know how viewers feel about these editing choices. Your feedback will help improve future content by ensuring that all visuals accurately represent the subject matter and remain fresh and engaging. 🎥✨ Regarding climate change and forest fires, I understand your point of view. While wildlife is incredibly resilient and adaptive, the discussion around climate change aims to highlight how rapid changes can impact ecosystems in unprecedented ways. As for forest fires, you're right-fire is a natural process, and in many cases, it plays a vital role in the regeneration of certain tree species. Mismanagement and policies can sometimes exacerbate these situations. It’s a complex issue, and I appreciate your input in broadening the conversation. 🔥🌲 Thank you again for your thoughtful comment! We're always open to diverse viewpoints and look forward to bringing you more content that you’ll enjoy.
