Hi Claire, been watching your vids for a while now. Father of 2 girls (11 and 8). We’ve gone camping and we go cooking in the woods often. If I manage to raise them to be even half as strong willed, independent and resourceful as you I think I’ll have done a good job. Thank you for your inspiration. Jason, Ireland.

I really appreciate how you listen to your intuition, mood and general feel when deciding your routes. I don't understand people that force themselves and push to the most painful and excruciating limits to reach some arbitrary end point. The "look what I can do" people. I feel like one way is rooted in interconnectedness and the other ego.
@WildBeareАй бұрын
I always have these ideas in my head of how it's gonna go.. often involving reaching summits and having crazy views and sunsets but so often it doesn't happen. I can see the appeal and it's a great feeling to reach that peak, but equally I like to potter about at my own pace (and avoid the people haha) You're so right about interconnectedness and intuition. Very little distance or elevation has to be gained to get back to nature. Some of my favourite trips are the ones that didn't go as planned where I ended up mooching in valleys 💚 thanks for sharing this with me :)

Only source of heat was a fire in a wheelbarrow that also cooked the food plus hot drinks. Remember the mornings of minus conditions where the caravan I lived in was frozen on the inside, never had a heated caravan just body heat. Thinking for 2025 in grabbing some gear and doing a few long weekends in the forest I lived in. Will bring back a lot of memories 😊

Claire, I honestly don’t think anyone could ever find you uncouth or unladylike, no matter how you sit when you’re in the wild..I mean… You’re not at a fancy dinner or something. You’re out in the wild! So be wild! Love your videos. Long-time fan and subscriber from day one.

I somewhat agree, but I do understand and respect her for not wanting herself in certain poses, or wardrobe malfunctions, to be seen by hundreds of thousands of people and the censoring just adds a nice layer of humour 😄
