We went up there from The Kirkstone Pass as it looked real steep from Hartsop to me🤔. Oh I am on 114, so only 10 behind me, I better get a move on😁. You got very similar weather to what me and my mate got when were there there last November timeish. Good to see you back on the steak and rump steak is our new favourite, have it every Saturday night now with chips and mushrooms. Aye it was a tad on the raw side for me but to be fair I would have still eaten it, as it did look immense, especially with all the extras. I thought the tent was going to get battered all night but funny how that wind went and a canny morning (given the time of year) to wake up too. Looking at you going down, I am so pleased we went up and down from Kirkstone😅, cheers Alan

On the subject of the steepness of the hills, the old-time shepherds over here would say that it took two weeks solid to get your "legs and lungs" after that you could almost run to the top. (1200m, the bush line) It's all about conditioning. Do it enough times and it will get easier. After 50+ years I'm still waiting for it to get easier🤣🤣. I was at angle tarn Saturday the weather was a bit pants the wind couldn't make it's mind up and didn't fancy a summit camp as was in the niak only 2nd time in it so still taking it easy with it

Nice little camp Andy, shame about the weather. Must be some weight in your pack with the gear and beer. I only took five cans on my last camp and my pack was 23kg, I was knackered 😂

Yeah it’s about 20kg. Everything apart from the tent and beer is quite light. It was just as heavy coming back. Tent was soaked. 👍

Had a Soulo, my strongest though being the Tarra., just go my 7th hilleberg, another Akto. I am puzzled though, why do you go up to experience a storm then hide behind a wall? Seeing as you are not getting blown off your feet while filming, the wind will be under 50mph.

Tapping the can does work so does slowly rotating it around its y axis, it works by allowing any small co2 bubbles trapped on the side of the can to loosen and its those bubbles that act as a catalyst for an overflow 🤓

Hi Andy and what a brilliant film this was, took me way back to my times at Sykeside looking up to Hartsop Dodd. I climbed it from said campsite and what a slippery struggle it was. The wall you camped behind was build by Roger the Wall Constuctor in 1647. Your Hilleberg tent looked the dogs bollocks but I’d be far happier in my Mountain Quasar. Your steak was far to underdone for my liking but the beers looked sumptuous. Fantastic views down to Brotherswater and I’m hoping to return there in May, after a five year absence. this was a FIVE STAR FILM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
