Another clever use of corpses is to use them to clear landmines. If you leave a corpse on the ground and a hoarder bug picks up the corpse and walks over a landmine the corpse will trigger the landmine, wasting it and killing the hoarder bug. This works best using mods like Brutal Company which can cause some maps to have insane number of landmines
