@ I understand why people think this, however there is still an incentive to start scouting right away due to players being able to be a “Gem” or a “Bust” when fully scouted, meaning their star rating changes. Gotta be careful because the 3 star you need may actually be a 2 star or even a 4 star. If It’s an important position like QB then you should absolutely scout out your player to see their stats. Just something to consider 😁 Edit: when you fully scout a player, It wont always be a Gem or Bust. If they are, you won’t physically see their rating change in game, so just add or remove a star based on if you get a gem or not. You also don’t need to fully scout everyone to know if you want them or not. Use your hours wisely. Just a tip for anyone who needs it)

Tips 1 ~ The way to see the developmental is only on national signing day. You have to go to the play and click on the scouting tab. In the bottom right corner it will tell their development. Other than that you would have to manually check everyone’s trait. 2 ~ Scouting in the beginning of the year. When you first get the option to set up your draft board, the best way is to fill your board up and scout the players before offering them (make sure you offer before you go to the next week. You don’t have the hours to scout all 35 players. Scout what you can then offer those you want). This gives you a chance to see if you found gems or bust. Last season you went straight into offers and didn’t scout wasting many hours. After that first week with you being a low tier school you don’t have many hours so you should not scout anymore players until the off season because your hours are valuable and need to be used to recruit the players you’ve already scouted. 3 ~ stay away from 1 and 2 stars. They are low in overall and development. They will not impact your team at all. Stay with the 3 stars and reach for some 4 stars and 5 stars. 4~ Recruit within your pipeline to give you extra boost with recruits. Those are gonna be the easiest ones to acquire. There are five tiers and the higher the tier the interest you are going to gain. 5 ~ Recruiting certain archetypes are bad. The ones I suggest you staying away from are Route Running WR and Run Stopping Defensive Ends. 6 ~ Changing certain positions can help a lot. Physically wide receivers to tightends and Centers to defensive tackles are great as well. I love the series, keep it up!!!

Would love to add if you're in the recruiting board you can press down the right stick to see the team breakdown on how many players you have per position and what class they are. I like to recruit around how many seniors are leaving to make the recruiting stage much easier. Definitely would recommend not recruiting more then maybe 12-15 at a time because you will not have the hours. choosing a couple to focus is the way to go then add more once you get commits. tips from OP are very helpful.

This next season you should focus on recruiting only O line and Defensive Backs. Build the fundamentals first, doesn't matter how good of a QB, if you don't get blocks you don't move the ball.

Your losing more recruits because you aren't recruiting to the best of your ability. Once you reach a player's top 5, you get access to the ability to sell the player, basically it's the next best thing that can make the player commit.

You’re basically recruiting blind… scout your players over time, upgrade your recruiter badge, and make sure you scout recruits so you can see their development trait on signing day, that’s the only thing that matters. Overall and dev trait

First couple of years with a 1 star program you don’t need to scout. Just go for 3 stars that are interested in you. Go hard on those guys then once they commit, move on to the guys who are still open later in the season

When it comes to in game and returning kicks, you can call fair catch anywhere on the field (inside the 25) and you get the ball at the 25. It doesn't have to be in the endzone. Only works on kickoffs though, not punts.

Best thing to do for your recruiting is to scout the players you put on your board and see if they are a gem(green gem) or a bust(gray gem with a red x). This will allow you to see their stats for that position and if they are any good. Gems will increase in overall when scouted and busts will decrease. From my own experience I fully scouted a 5 star recruit that turned out to be a bust and he was probably worse than some 2 stars in his position stats. So scouting in the week before the season starts is the best way to start. Focus on OL becuase with a good OL you will get better blocks when running or passing the ball. In my personal opinion scrambler QBs are great especially if they have good speed and good throwing because it just opens many possibilities on offense because you can run option plays, throw the ball, or scramble when no one is open to get positive yards

For the future, if you recruit any athletes, they will only show up (when looking at the position changes scree) as the position you recruited them at. To see the athletes on the position changes screen, scroll over to position and sort it twice and the athletes will be at the top. A lot of the athletes are better at other positions. For example, a lot of athlete centers (always agile) that I’ve recruited are a low overall at center, but go up 2 overalls at guard or tackle and sometimes 5-10 overalls on the d-line.

When you scout whatever you use the first week you need to remove the next week to free up points Removing points doesn’t wipe the progress you’ve already made. If you send the house on a guy one week, you can remove it the next week and do other scouting on them without losing send the house

My advice would be to recruit more ATH or athletes. They can be moved around to a lot of different positions so you can fill the gaps in your team. Also go for your big time recruits in the beginning of the season, and then once you lock those guys up, then start shooting for worse players to fill out the team. Also recruit less players at once so you can focus your hours

The next off-season of your dynasty when you are looking at the recruiting page, look at 1 player, I scroll all the way to scouting, and it will tell you their development trait. So that way you don't have to look at every individual player you signed to see what their Dev trait is.

a tip for how many people u should have in each position. I usually have 4 QB 5 RB no FB 9 WR 5 TE 4 LT 4 LG 2 C 4 RG 4 RT 4 LE 4 RE 5 DT 4 LOLB 4 MLB 4 ROLB 9 CB 4 FS 4 SS 1 K 1 P if u wanna be different u can but that's just how I do it. then every year I just redshirt all the freshman each year. and to check their dev trait go to scouting after offseason transferring and check bottom left
