I have been using these boots for about a year now in all different conditions. I agree they are the most comfortable boots i have ever owned. I have other hiking boots that are good but these are so flexible and yes very waterproof. The best.

Would you mind saying what shoes you have that you find less comfortable than the Mammut ones? I tried lots of shoes so I'll try to compare. I suffer from overpronation and plantar fascitis. And I have a pretty narrow heel but a long and wide forefoot. So picking a shoe that fits isn't the easiest part. I read these kind of adjust to your heel with the memory foam and also people say they are comfortable out of the box. They sound like they could be a good option.

I was JUST about to buy Salomon Quest 4s, but started researching and the apparent decline in their quality in the last few years scared me off, especially the constant waterproofing failures. Found these in my search and have heard nothing but praise. Will definitely pick these up!

Likewise. I had a pair from 7 years ago and I’m looking to replace them now. Everywhere I look there’s reports of terrible quality and falling apart after a short period of time. Such a shame because I love my old Salomon boots.

For those who wonder, the outsole is Vibram XS Trek. Mammut Flextron is the spring-steel sole integrated into the midsole of the boot.

I have the exact pair and it's the second pair of mammut boots I've ever owned. And exactly as you said, I always look forward to putting them on. They're light, easy to put on, they look great and having come from the army 4 years ago. And having owned multiple different boots In my life time. It is safe to say that mammut boots are my all time favourite boot and really couldn't ask for a better boot. I will definitely continue to wear/buy mammut boots for the rest of my life. GTX boots paired with Salomon wool socks is a game changer for walking or hiking in the winter months. I fell in love with the brand the minute I brought my first pair. Phenomenal boots all round. Great review 👍

I highly recommend these too. Have had my pair for 2 years now. Ordered and put them on to walk the Alps straight out of the box. Not one blister! That never happened to me before. They are super comfortable and I looked forward to putting them on the next day. :)

I bought these boots. Today I walked 15 km in them. very high quality made, do not get wet. The boots are tough, the soles are hard. Not suitable for those with wide feet.

Hey mate, that's me in the video! I live in the Canadian Rockies and will be using these on very snowy trails. In fact I've been using them in the city after 10-20cms of snow!

I use them out in the snow all the time. (It's me in the video) You can of course get heavier more insulated boots but I've worn these down to -20°c

Mammut make insulated Kento Pro boots which are designed for very cold conditions but I've worn their regular Kento Advanced and Sapuens in - 15 to - 20 deg C in the snow without problems. My wife only hikes in Sapuens and Kento and she has no problem with these for 4 season use. It's a hell of a boot and it really stands up to rough terrain

@@KaroPogoda yes. I've worn Sapuens in mild winter weather with microspikes and Kento with grivel semi auto crampons. They're both fine. Few people need more boot than these offer 😉

Thanks for the video! Im planning on getting a pair of these but Im not sure with the size, Ive never had Mammut before...are they true to size or should I size up a little? I wear EU46 in Salomon (11.5 US or 290mm mondo) which kinda goes with the EU45 1/3 in Mammut (12 US or 290mm mondo)...thanks!

How does this compare to the trovat tour boot?

I retired my Trovats in favour of these Sapuens and the Kento Advanced. With those 2 boots I had 4 seasons and all terrains covered. The Sapuen is a lighter and more agile boot than the Trovat. It's just as capable in the mountains. I used to love the bomb-proof nature of the Trovat and that nice heel rocker but when you take a size 13.5 or 14 in Mammut, the weight of that midsole unit starts to feel excessive.

I had a pair of these and though I really liked the fit and feel, the first time I went out in the wet, they just let in far too much water. I couldn't really understand it but I think it may have been down to the way the knitted top of the toe box is layered and bonded with the goretex - there was a lot of wet bracken that was dripping quite big drops on to the boots and I can only think the impact of that was the problem. Which it shouldn't be on a brand new pair of boots. I ended up sending them back and Mammut were very good about it - though I had purchased direct from them.
