No animal in the wild will waste energy doing something it doesn't really want to. Like the wildebeest - it wanted to live and so it struggled as much as it could. Solid albeit unremarkable performance from both here, a real battle of endurance. Crocodile dominant for most of the fight but ultimately failed to land anything significant. Impressive stuff from Wildebeest who refused to let Crocodile get him on his back, we know he can be much more dangerous in that position. Decision goes to Crocodile on points for the hold, however, disappointing fight from him overall, we've seen him in much better form before and were expecting more this evening. Great video & perseverance on your part too. By why is the wildebeest "noble?" Is the Croc evil? That is the Croc's meal & sustenance. 1/3 of it. And they then don't eat for several months living off of that one meal. Amazing how that big croc didn't get a better grip on the leg instead of just the hoof. I thought the spinning would break the leg. Croc is like 2K pounds vs the wildebeest 300-400lbs.

Yep, the Wildebeest's best option would be to find a poisonous snake and get bit. A Lion or Leopard will normally finish him rather fast~ but hyenas and wild dogs seem to start at the butt a eat their way up leaving they're Victims alive while it's happening. Nature ain't Nice.

I imagine that the croc has a roll bias, meaning it might prefer to roll clockwise or counterclockwise. It looked from the video that it wanted to roll to the wildebeest' right. The reason it didn't work is the croc had it by the left rear leg so the wildebeest was able to counter the death roll. If the croc had grabbed the right rear leg it would have been game over.

i think the croc wasn't that hungry, it didn't do the roll, didn't try to drawn it. The croc only grabed it by the leg, waited and let it go. And the wildebeast will die, it is too weak and its leg is damaged.
