Thanks a lot. It was a fun pattern to come up with and catch fish on. My wife shot a golden wildebeest on our last trip and it’s gonna make a great sulphur color.

Take her along with you and let her shoot something. I worked for me. Soon I will be getting the tail back from my wife’s Golden Wildebeest and it’s going to make a great sulphur color. My wife loves going with me over there and she’s hooked on hunting now from our last trip. I’m working on planning a trip this fall to fly fish for trout over there and work out the logistics for a cast and blast trip.

Shawn …. What determines when you use a dubbing loop vs. just dubbing the squirrel directly to your thread ?? Thanks for helping me with this concept! Brian 🌟🙏🏻💫

More or less it depends on how buggy I want the collar. If I want the collar buggy and leggy looking like on this fly I make the dubbing loop. If I want a streamline pattern and just want a different colored collar then I just dub the collar on.
