I just came across this video and wanted to give a nerdy music theory insight: there’s nothing “wrong” with the chord progression; the A chord is just a bVII (flat 7) and it’s SO COOL. Using bVII or bVI (sometimes both in a row) is highly effective. The bVII temporarily flips the mode to mixolydian. So actually those people who hated it don’t know what the hell they’re talking about
