I’ve been really struggling with my faith, if I want to be a Christian, if I truly believe or not and Angela’s prayer to accept Jesus came at the most perfect time. I’ve been sick about my decision to possibly leave the faith, I felt so confused and chaotic these last few weeks. It hit so hard when she said that the devil doesn't come with red horns, he comes as everything you have ever wanted. That's why when we are tempted it's a lot easier to give into those desires. I struggle with this personally a lot when it comes to relationships and worldly things I desire. We just have to remember we aren't alone and remember that God is in control of our situation!

What you said about feeling and the advice you got is correct! Feelings can betray us and sometimes they don't tell us the truth. Also the Holy Ghost can be goosebumps for some people but it is so much more .. like a comforter, truth teller, and messenger. :-)

Thank you so much for this episode. I had the worst night as I take care of my dad by myself that had a stroke 8 years ago. He is not a nice person and just kept needling me over and over until I just was broke last night. I haven’t cried that hard in so long and was asking God why would a parent be so unkind to the child that is taking care of him while his other 2 daughters turned their backs on him. I know God has me in this wilderness for a reason and I will have my armor on and continue to fight through the unknown. God is good and I will not be broken.

CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Pray on it, ask the Holy Spirit for help in the name of Jesus and God the Father. If you trust God they will help you, but you can't keep hanging around with the same people and doing the same things, and expecting different results. You wanna talk about a worldly life? For all my life I was around Mobsters. That's what my father was and it's all I ever wanted to be too. In fact my father went to prison when I was 3 or 4 and I hadn't seen him again until I graduated High School. By that time I was a mobster in training and BY FAR the most dangerous kid in school, not to mention amongst the best looking. All of us are sinners, but I made the rest of my classmates seem like angels, and I pretty much had my choice of which girls I wanted to "date" too. As for who I hung-out with, only other kids who had mob aspirations like me. Those were my only friends, about twenty of them, and TWO of us stayed out of prison and lived to see 25, myself and one other. That's only the short version, minus a number of details. Suffice to say, when I got saved I had to change EVERYTHING. My whole life, from the places I frequented, the friends and associates I had, the kinds of girls I dated, the way I thought and most of all the way I acted. I had to go from a guy who would put guys in the ICU for looking at me wrong, to a guy who kept his hands in his own pockets and tried to avoid 'trouble' (my middle name) at all costs. At first I thought I could do both, follow God and remain in my old life, AS I SUSPECT YOU DO?, but I soon found out that's IMPOSSIBLE. At some point you have to choose God and make a clean break from your old life. CHANGE EVERYTHING or NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

I love listening to you two! I am a Christian and have found the Lord has used you both to inspire me to always keep His love before me! I also wanted to share something that I learned. It is clear in the scriptures that God does test us. However, God does not send sickness, disease, or calamity into our lives to test us. Those things steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who came to give us abundant life. He warned us in John 16:33 that we’d encounter trouble in the world, but then encouraged us by telling us he had overcome it. Being tested by God is a matter of the heart and for a specific purpose. Understanding why God tests us will empower us not only to endure the tests but find joy in them! I used to be afraid of being “tested” by God but when I understood that God is a good God and He was actually testing my faith I got it! For instance He had imparted in me how to overcome fear I and when tested in the area I was able to see the victory I had over it. God did not send fear to test me. We live in a fallen world and things will happen, his test was to see how I reacted to that fear. Was I in faith when it came to fear and was I in faith understanding the devil is a defeated foe and we have power over him! Was I speaking faith filled words over the situation, etc. He gives us all the tools we need for this world! Jesus is always there and if I miss the mark He is right there to pull me up!!! He is such a good God! ❤ Keep doing what you are doing, Good is using you mightily!!
