Songkran or Sangken is celebrated in NorthEast India as well especially in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. It is much more culturally accurate in India than Thailand where it has become a commercial event targeting tourists primarily. If anybody wishes to enjoy it in India, try visiting Namsai, Chongkham in Arunachal Pradesh or Chalapathar, Lakwa, Tai Phake village in Assam, and so many other places with Tai population to enjoy it at it's best and pure form.

@@JBS-e9i yes absolutely, it's a humid and hot place . So they use it to protect their face. And rice water and coconut water , bathing powder were made naturally and used by my great grandma(my mom said this) , these are now marketed as korean secret shit by companies like Mama Earh.
