Pepperdine has a lot of clear defensible space around it where the fuel has been removed after past fires. They have special buildings to evacuate to that are sealed from smoke infiltration. They've had to invest in this approach after the Wooley fire because there are 3 roads to use to evacuate and that fire closed all three.

A bush fire that goes 5 football fields a minute, it's better to stay inside if they say so. Wooden area typical forest fires, yes they would say to evacuate but this one is passing fast, very fast.

I live in the forest, we have forest management, we do use rakes in certain areas to clean up. Also, raking doesn't necessarily mean with a RAKE. Look up what the word rake means. Sit down and learn something 🙄
