For Kevin I'm sure he was at the path of Preservation, but since project SAVE only led to project Stigma, where 99% of humans die and the rest thrive. He change to Nihility whilst thinking he was still in the path of Preservation.

@@NenKingmult iirc it was to spread the Honkai which will kill 99.99% of the world that couldn't hold the power of a stigmata. It's kinda like the bad ending in Infamous 2 where Conduits survived and humans died.

Normally I'd defend Honkai, as someone playing since 2017, but I agree. The new writing plays leaves little impact and waves away any character conflict to move the plot somehow and just dump lore/ science talk. They really did Kevin dirty.

@@twilightwolf6248 People complain about Shaoji writing Star rail, but he's the one who wrote the emotionally impactful Honkai Impact we loved. Now it just...looks like a bland mishmash of Star rail and ZZZ, even visually. I am still trying to be hopeful, but I honestly don't know what to expect from a story which bungles its own final antagonist.
