Monday the 7th the smoke got crazy down the front rage. Very glad that cold front rolled through.

best of luck to you guys. let me ask a silly question. is there any type of fire suppression system that you can install around the open area around your house, just in case anything gets close to your area, that it can help keep a fire away from the house. i know it would cost a ton to do, but would it be worth doing if it could save the house and all you have done.
@davidgeorgiades73084 жыл бұрын
John Oliveri not a silly question at all. There are fire suppression systems that work very well. The one I know about basically buries the house in foam. And yes, they are quite expensive
@ColoradoMountainLiving4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing that David. I think perhaps an in house sprinkler system could be a consideration as well as general fire mitigation around the house (clearing trees).

Hi kids!! When you going to start on the shop?? I thought you wanted to have it up by winter ❄️ Have a good evening
@ColoradoMountainLiving4 жыл бұрын
I know it! So, there 2 things. one is we need to submit plans to the county to get the permit. (i heard there is a 6 week turnaround now). Bryan has decided to make it larger. But he does want to pour the footings for it before the ground freezes. The other, is just getting some temporary storage for now, so looking into a shipping container to keep stuff out of snow and move junk out of basement.

Colorado Mountain Living My father told me a long time ago “ you’re not going to get it done by sitting on your hands, that is why you have feet now get up on them and get it done “. I am glad you are making it bigger you will always use the room!! A while back I was going to buy 35 acres but instead I got 99 acres.

No ones ever complained about getting bigger than you need haha

How do these fires start? Is it because of humans or is it "natural"?
@ColoradoMountainLiving4 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it's hard to tell. Usually a mixture of lightning strikes or human activity (not putting out a fire all the way).

Hi Amy, Just thinking of a worse case scenario, but do you have a current appraisal value for the house?
@ColoradoMountainLiving4 жыл бұрын
Yes we do and we have homeowner's insurance that covers fire.
