Maybe next year :( that’s if the WA border is open. Great information and beautiful video as usual

I'm sure the WA border will be open soon. hopefully in time for the wildflowers. The good thing is you cant book a site at Coalseam, you just have to turn up and find a spot.

Thanks Renata, this is the first time I'd been to Coalseam but it certainly won't be the last.

Hello Matt. Love you videos. They are very insightful. I have just got into macro and flower photography. Can you please tell me the camera gear you use to take the photos. I am especially interested in the hood that you have over your flash. R

great vid mate do you reckon you could do one on praying mantises on native species like boxer mantids aka Paraoxypilus tasmaniensis cheers

Absolutely! I have been collecting footage of a few mantids now including Paraoxypilus and a very fastidious Orthodera ministralis that spent ages polishing it's eyes in front of my camera.

You certainly had a nice quiet day than when I went, was no place to move with all the visitors. Let me know when you are up this way next, would be great to go out for a shoot.

Sounds like a plan. I did my walk on a Monday, so I think a lot of the weekend travellers had moved on.

@@LookCloser Yer I was there after judging a photo comp right in the middle of peak season. Was madness.
