OMG I remember horseflies. I think they don't just bite, they take CHUNKS out of you. I remember hearing about some hiker back while I lived in Pensacola who'd been driven so crazy by the horseflies that he ran off a bluff and broke a lot of bones; some other hikers found him and got him to medical help, but there you go: killer horseflies. They're deadly; they have attitude. Put some damp baking-soda on that bite, it'll help. The things y'all found were BONKERS. Seriously-- ivory, mastodon teeth, all that freaking bone, and the wolf tooth (I would have to kiss that wolf tooth) and all those horse teeth! This is a wonderful, wonderful spot! I noticed the lack of trash, too-- it's like you found a place that skipped the past century entirely. PLEASE come back to this spot! Thanks, and watch out for Swamp Children.

Went camping with a friend for 2 nights at the Peace River at Brookville- many avid hunters go out from there. Went out in Kayaks in wind gusts of 25 mph.. but so fun. River was very low, so we had to walk our yaks in places. About 2.5 miles upstream we had some very neat finds, one being a dire wolf canine. Also, enjoyed your recent music video, Kyle, and have it in my collection now.

This was an awesome video with lots of awesome bones and everything. That canine tooth was amazing. Honestly I feel like this spot is definitely a good one to go back to. Random idea which would require a lot of effort and time with a different media as well. You could always do lives on TikTok especially in this area and do like little scoop bags for your viewers where they pay for a scoop and also pay shipping. Nice way to be able to share the awesome goodies and also make some money to help with all your KZbin time and expenses I know I would probably pay for a scoop since I would live the experience to dig in a bag of goodies for fossilized items!!!!!

Kyle, Wouldn't it help spot the obstacles in the river, to fly a drone over it first? In the future perhaps, so you could put the canoe in closer to where the fossils start? Just a thought. Here in California there seems to basically be no house flies(good), but an unusual amount of horse flies (not so good). What's up with that? : l On a lighter note, Kyle, You were rockin' that straw cowboy hat, Chris was rockin' the no shirt look (only a glimpse?) Hey! Bree was rockin' her usual alluring confidence. : ) Of course the fossils were rockin' their age.

Super cool spot for sure! That little rodent jaw almost halfway through the vid looks just like one I showed Paleocris on Instagram the other day! Probably the species Sylvilagus webbi which is the ancestor of the modern swamp rabbit.
