How can anyone possibly think that looks awful?? It looks beautiful, so lush, so pretty and natural. Let us know how many butterflies you get, Darren. Thank you for sharing your lovely garden with us 🦋🐞🦋.

Your front garden is safe place. If people have negative comments they are ignorant - sad for them. The hedgehogs are happy.

I've done the same down the bottom of my garden. Bluebells amongst the silver burch's, a few nesting boxes and a few bug hotels. Next project will be a pond.

I'm glad you let your dandelions grow. They are such a great first crop for bees and the entire plant is edible. Straight grass lawns are such a waste and take so much fertilizer and weed killer. It's like having little poison patches. My lawn is awash in yellow dandelions and blue mustard. If dandelions get in my flower beds where I don't want them I did them up, but the lawn looks pretty with them. Lovely natural space!

Imagine if you had to deal with HOAs! Personally, I'd go crazy if I had to put up with that type of neighbourhood lol

Do the yard critics then saunter off to the forests and parks to enjoy what is in your yard?? Hmmmmm??🤣🤣 Kayaks tucked under their arms for the aqueous part of the great escape?? LOL! 2:18 Since you mention insects, 7 days ago, Sunday morning, I walk out of the house look up into the pear tree 12 feet high hangs a swarm of honeybees! Well, not to let two hundred dollars American go to waste which is what the bees would cost, , I hived them. I have kept honeybees for 40+ years, summers are very dull without the droning of honeybees. I looked for a good spot for them up the hill, found nothing that I was at peace with, SO, they remain 5 feet away from where I sit inside of the open work shop doors while I carve my customer's walking canes. SO, it was a very happy day to hive that swarm! 🐝🐝🐝. As regards to critics, i have noted 2 characteristics regarding them, number one, they critisize those who are actually DOING work, as they sit under the hypnotic spell of the television, secondly, I have noted that mentally miserable people want to make everybody and everything around them miserable, right Ava?? Ava intends to enjoy life for as long as she can, and we should also!

I think it’s lovely. I can just imagine all the interesting creatures that come to appreciate the wildlife garden and maybe make a home there. Wonderful, I say. Unfortunately, the city I live in has very rigid bylaws in place, so I’m not allowed to grow things like Millweed, which would support monarch butterflies, and a lot of other plants. If there are more than 10 plants they classify as “weeds” growing in my garden they’ll give me 2 weeks to purge it or I’ll get a ticket.

...... Oh, and be on guard against being drawn into the critics vortex of negativity. Let them go away brooding while you stuff your nose into a Eustacia Vye blossom, mine is being quite generous this springtime before the stifling heat of summer that their roots can scarcely deliver enought moisture to the tops.
