What I love about your videos is how you blend with nature without harming terrifying or killing the beings you film. I am astounded how proud some of the video makers are when they catch a 150 year old fish. How sad for humanity. Man, the most violent being on the planet, no soul, no compassion. Unconscious. Asleep.

Gelt Woods and Northern UK remind me New England. Cool and green with water. And, wildlife. The Grey Heron has to be a cousin of the Great Blue Heron we have. That's terrific you celebrate and take pictures of "" the common stuff "! Starlings are universal and imported here as well. But, we've learned to see the good things about them. The Wigwam cabin was really nice. Brown Trout have been spread around the world by fishermen and governments. Tremendous video. God bless you and safe travels always.

Liam, I've only recently come across your channel and I really enjoy your videos. I'm a resident of Cumbria, having moved here from South Africa 2 and a half years ago. I am loving learning about the wildlife in my new home country and it's channels like yours that really help that along and inspire me to get out and explore. I'm so glad you visited here and would encourage you to do it again... There's so much more to see 😊.

As a guide, the best way to find a Dipper is to look for white poo on the rocks of a babbling brook. No poo no dipper! I’d drive 600 miles round trip to see what you saw. Of course you’d’ve seen lots of incidentals on the journey. Top stuff! 👏

Your best video yet ! I really enjoyed that, especially the good footage of dippers. Incidentally, they are also happy to feed in still water as well as in streams - only last Monday I watched one repeatedly diving in an old mill pond not far from where I live, even though the pond is right next to a large stream/small river. If you're prepared to make another long trip, I can also recommend a few very good spots in the Yorkshire Dales where you're very likely (I can virtually guarantee it) to see sand martins, kingfishers, and shoveller ducks, as well as a host of other wildlife.

Liam, I've been watching your videos for a couple of months or so now and I think I have caught up on most of your earlier productions. I'd have to say that the quality is marketly improved. Please don't think I'm knocking the early stuff, far from it, the factual contact and your obvious love of nature shine through. I have noticed though, that your presentation skills have come on so far, and I think that matters even more than the fact that your technical skills/access to better equipment has also dramatically increased. Can I just ask aquestion about this video. While you are talking and concentrating on what is happening in the water to the right of the heron. I noticed to the left of the heron what appears to be some small creature moving on the suface of the water toward the left bank and exiting the water around the rocks up through a gap in vegetation and then possibly climbing a tree before leaping to the right and landing on another tree. I'm not sure what kind of creature could cause this image but you can bet I'll convince my 8 year old granddaughter that it's a fairy returning to her home in the woods after taking a dip in the river. 😂🤣😂

Hi Jim. Thank you so much for your feedback. I am definitely more comfortable in front of the camera these days so I'm glad that is coming through more. I've always wanted this format of video to make the viewer feel as if they are there with me so I hope that's how it feels. If your granddaughter is reading this, yes, it's definitely a fairy heading home.... I think it's dust or something like that, very close to the lens. Cheers!
