We're pleased to announce that Wildlife SOS Online has returned! Series two follows some of some of our more recent work at the centre with a new episode coming out approximately once a month.
In this episode we get a special visit from Richard Symonds, a wildlife artist and long-term friend of the charity. In just one day, Richard gets to experience life behind the doors of Wildlife Aid, helping out on a dangerous treetop rescue to reunite a lost baby owl with its family. It doesn't stop there though, as there is lot more in store during a day with WAF!

Maybe it surrendered to the experience once the capture was a fact, and thought: 'well, far out, this is weird but kind of interesting.' Who knows what birds think! Dunno with swans but there are birds that are really clever (crows, famously); if nothing else, in all of Simon's swan rescues the swans are really calm once he gets them in the (epic) swan bags-maybe it's on account of them being swaddled? You learn so much watching these videos!

When you're in the situation, knowing there is really only one thing you can do to end the suffering of a creature, it will surprise you what you can do...as much as it hurts and breaks your heart to do it.

By the way, there are things called deer whistles that alert deer early of incoming cars while driving. I highly suggest buying one to protect both you, your car, and deers.

The very first video I saw of Simon on a rescue was Sep 15, 2014 where he released a cygnet whilst trying to keep the cob away. He said to the male swan, don't be silly. From that moment I was hooked. Ty Simon and all the team.

My family had a baby Eastern Screech owl in North Texas in the 60's. He fell out of the hollow tree, and mom never came back. He lived about 4 years.

I love how the swan inspected the bowl of goodies before eagerly diving in to eat. It warms my heart while watching all of your videos because wild animals deserve as much help as our beloved pets get. Our pets stay relatively safe with us, but their wildlife counterparts have to contend with the dangers of man-made contraptions. While it saddens me that it is necessary in the first place, the least we can do for wild animals is help them when they get the sort end of the stick in dealing with humans and our ever-growing populace.
