Wildlife the Carers Encounter with the Elephant Herd 🌿

The rangers at Jabulani Safari have shared some of their most memorable sightings, highlighting the incredible wildlife they encounter. Our carers encounter wild animals daily while out with the herd, but do not always get the chance to capture the moment. From the incredible Big 5 to nocturnal owls, the reserve is a haven for remarkable wild animals. Thanks to the elephants' natural instincts and their close bond with their carers, safety is always a priority, even when exploring on foot 🐘

Wow what beautiful sightings. If only a few mins earlier you would have seen that mana Rino 🦏 giving birth. What an amazing sighting that was. I remember being on safari there and seeing the wildlife in person. Such amazing thongs to see. And the Rangers are so knowledgeable of these animals. They are definitely a wealth of knowledge. Good morning. This video of all the creatures I pray to not only see enclosed...touches my heart deeply. Baby rhino charges are sooo fearsome...especially from the fat padded toes. I have a hard time choosing which cuties to air hug first...baby ellies, hippos or rhinos. And we got to see who the true King of the Bush is. Mufasa hightailed it really quickly with his lady when Jabu showed up! Thank you, amazing carers, and rangers for giving us a close-up view. 💕🐘🦏🦛🦁🦉

Oh absolutely beautiful! So very heartwarming to watch the mothers and the babies. I couldn’t help but laugh when the little baby rhino started to charge! I guess his mother is starting to teach him well. I love seeing all the other animals that are there because I didn’t know how many and what animals are there in the reserve. Not always but sometimes I am grateful to modern technology eg. mobile phones [cameras] and drones. With these devices we are now able to capture some amazing aerial photos and with most of us carrying mobile phones, we see so many impromptu photos. Magical, utterly magical. Baby rhinos always remind me of Walt Disney's tigger - just full of bounce and fun, and good to be alive. Hunting dogs - the painted wolves - my favourite mammal and so deperately threatened.

Yes, the black mamba can indeed be found in our reserve, which is also home to a rich variety of reptiles. Here are some of the reptiles you might encounter: African Rock Python, Tree Agama, Various Snake Species (both venomous and non-venomous) as well as Lizards.

Thank you for posting this. Yesterday, I inquired about the giraffe who has been conspicuous by his absence. But it was wonderful to see so many other animals. Obviously, the rhino's are not on the same birth control meds as the Herd elephants -- otherwise, there would be little Zindoga's running all over the place.
