Great fight, great fish. I caught a 115-lb sturgeon against a 4kt current, 45 minutes later it was landed and I was absolutely done. They are impressive, ancient beasts.

Just got back from vacation and had to rewatch this video in 4k quality, with headset on, and good internet setting before I could comment. What an amazing fish, that reel was screaming for help. Caught my first-ever rainbow trout in Colorado and it's always amazing to be able to experience a fish you've never caught before. Loved the video and the entire fight that went into that awesome fish! Looking forward to the next video as always.

This fight was harder from a physical standpoint, but the steaks in that gar fight were so much higher since I knew it was going to be a near record sized animal. The sturgeon fought harder, but the gar was a nail biter.
