This episode brought back memories for me in 1977 my dad and i 17 years old left Wagga and made a trip to Coen in a toyota cruiser and a 12ft by 6ft trailer decked out as a camper, then there was no bridges over the rivers up north and it was just after the wet season before the road gangs went through,we were stuck many times crossing rivers with only our winch getting us across, dad made me cross the rivers first by walking across them checking the depth lol,we damaged the unbolts holding up the trailer axles and we made it into Coen where the local policeman welded them back together,i also remember being stuck in a river for hours and hours and a local aboriginal man told us that there was crocodiles in the river, that was after we got out!!What a trip!!

Awesome memories, love it .... Also I love how you wrote "my dad and I" ... It's so rare these days and I have always said to my boys it's "whoever and I" not "me and whoever" ❤️👍✅

Awesome mate.. Its amazing how much joy and purpose you bring to such a small community like Kowanyama. Such a fantastic part of the Cape. You are touching many heart with your content and constantly reminding us all of how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful country and also how you are connecting the traditional ways and culture to today. Hats off to you man. 👏

With the weight of the boat on top and the roads you drive, only a middle bar and a top bar? Over time the constant flexing causes metal fatigue. No fault of the fabricators. Maybe having X braces between the corners on 3 sides will stabilize it better? Another great vid. Love the content. Cheers for taking us along on your journey.

Loved your journey to Kowanyama what a community. Bit of a bummer not catching Barra! Snowing like crazy here at the moment. I would love to come a fix your trailer and test my welding skills, love it! We watched this earlier, and Nath you have got us in more trouble mate particularly Cheryl, who decided to keep in with living the dream and went to the village pond took her kit off for a wash like you! Well this local cop turned up with a face like a bull dog chewing a wasp and said it is to cold to take your cloths off in the snow....hmmm! see his point it was cold 🥶. Anyway thanks again take care...The Screechers!

It's my country. I don't need to be welcomed in my own country. I don't need to acknowledge any ownership because Aboriginals do not own it. We all own it. And if people with a guilt complex feel guilty, sell you house, give it to an Aboriginal, then get on the next flight back to Europe, Asia, Africa, or where ever. It's BS
