TSI* not TI. TI is the acronyms for Thursday Island, which is only one Island in the Torres Strait’s. We are known as TSI people

To see and understand the simple thing's in life is all we really need , somewhere to sleep a boat and maybe a car if you're on the mainland and a good understanding of bush Tucker and maybe grow a few thing's. Thanks Nath and to all your TI friends for another great series ❤ Have a great Christmas and God bless all.

Awesome stuff love it. The way you mix and interact with the locals is so good, that on its own is such a hard thing to do and you have the attitude and personality to do that which helps you bring us along for the adventure.. To interact and learn from the custodians of the area is something you cant learn it comes from respect of their culture and respecting the people. Keep up the great work and great content.

Nath that brought home my childhood memories of growing up on The Great Barrier Island New Zealand, in the 70s, we use to dive for crays, fish and smoke the fish in a tin smoke house with tea tree branches, chip huge oysters off the rocks, dig up massive pippy, my family is part Māori and I miss my connection to the sea. Watching Wild Reaches and the tranquil atmosphere of indigenous cultures makes me long for a good fishing trip. Cheers Irena.

What an upbringing, sounds amazing. I was with friends recently who spent some time over on great barrier island, it sounds amazing over there, like stepping back in time. So glad you’re enjoying the show 🙏🏼

Legend brother love what you do! I’m from the south west of Australia and sadly most of our culture and language has been lost but watching your videos is like a bit of soul food! Been watching your stuff for years now ❤️💛🖤 Cheers brother
@WildReachesАй бұрын
That’s sad to hear mate. I’m very lucky to be around such rich culture and I hope it comes back further south as language is taught again and proud indigenous Australians share the knowledge they have with the next generations. Unfortunately a lot is lost forever which just breaks my heart.

The ending had me thinking of when I lived in wadeye NT a young kid moving from western nsw getting into school making friends with the locals, had a really good friend there one day I was at the local pool in my town down here nsw I heard someone talking and recognised the broken English accent I turned around in the line waiting for the slide and it was my good friend from wadeye one of my craziest experiences I was stoked
