I like how everytime a Zaunite champion releases the same zaunite criminals are always there doing things that would cause the zaunite champion to be mad and attack them. This has happened on Ekko, Zeri, Warwick and now Urgot. This point leads to a fact that they all survived those encounters, didn't learn their lesson and decided to do a little bit of tomfoolery once more.

An important thing to note on this cutscene is Urgot's monologue and how it ties to the video title - it practically references the 'Child of Zaun' short story, when Vi witnesses him strangling the Voice after that one brought him Hextech crystals, seeking to appease his master, but Urgot realized the dependency that became Piltover's weakness. For Urgot, Hextech is wealth, and wealth is a vice, something that makes people lax and sloppy. That's why, when his follower rather admired and coveted the Chem-Baron's belongings, Urgot gave that one the painful grinder ending, instead of the quick, rather uncharacteristic merciful one he granted the Chem-Baron. The Chem-Baron was never his focus. It were his followers. Hence, 'The Test'.

Rewatched it after your amazing take and noticed that this was so obviously a test for the son from the get go. Like every detail is so blatant that I really feel Urgots frustration when he says the son disappointed him. Like he breaks the table just after his son begins to appreciate the vase, while talking about having a violence baptism.

Urgot still views Hextech somewhat respectfully, because he praises Piltover for inventing it in the same story. I mean on the other hand Urgot also mocks Chem-Barons for mass producing and hoarding Chemtech by forcing them to breathe the chemicals which power up the machines. Hextech/Chemtech are merely a means to an end, the problem is when the man is controlled by them instead of the other way around.

This makes sense because Urgot is Noxian and Noxian principles are different from PnZ principles. We see a greed-filled nation all through out the story of Arcane and I'm excited to see Urgot and other characters in Arcane.

Sadly we may never see certain champions ever make much progress to speak of. Riot will always focus on some of the more generic or popular characters/regions while leaving the rest neglected. And apparently they can't pump out some artwork and short stories fast enough before they have to rework a champion for the 5th time and retcon half their lore or bury their credibility for another champ their doing the same thing for. Because of this we are unable to wait on champion releases or reworks for lore nor will they give us anything significant in-between so all we get are breadcrumbs and halted storylines.

He was a Noxian who got betrayed and tortured in Zaun until he was broken. When they tried torturing him again he realized it was impossible for anyone to inflict a pain on him greater than the one he already felt. Basically, being betrayed and tortured in Zaun made him stronger than Noxus ever could have, and he wants everyone to be driven to their breaking point so that they can be strong. Those who can't be strong will die, until only the strong remain.

It's disturbing because there is a lot of truth to his ideology that not everyone can or wants to see. Urgot takes it to the next level though since he's kind of an extremist. ​@@goodbyebozo I mean at that point you could argue Aatrox is a tier above Mordekaiser. Not only having been a god but having slain gods and void monsters alike. "I am not your enemy, I am *THE* ENEMY!" But seriously though there is no real most badass champion until one of these major villains succeed in their ultimate goals. All we know for absolute certain is that Aurelion Sol is the single most powerful one we have seen thus far (at least when he is at his peak). Post-rework Urgot is more metal than post-rework Mordekaiser right now though. We been waiting on people like Mordekaiser, Viego, Aatrox (and the Darkin overall), the Void (with there now being 2 main infighting Void factions), Leblanc & Vladimir (and by extension the Black Rose), Swain, Lissandra, Volibear, and more to all accomplish their own grand goals for YEARS now and not one of them has made to much progress even after reworks and lore bombs. Hopefully in our lifetime we might see even 1 of these absolute units either rise to power and get neutralized or see one of them accomplish their goals.

My favorite part about urgot is how in a stramge way dehumanize him and humanize him by giving him the mechanical body, dehumanising him by making urgot look more like a monster whilst also showing the hypocrisy of his beleifs, being rich and dependent is weak, yet he depends on the mechanized suit.
