If you ever seen the movie The Shinning, when the old man is driving in the snow cat up the mountain . Just add snow coming straight at you. I've never white knuckled so hard. I had to stop driving.

That small brown building when y'alls were turning into Goshen (on the right as yall were turning left) is an absolutely amazing restaurant. The omlets are to die for. All the food is homecooked and is ran by amish women. Every time we have to go that way we have to stop. We are in the Southeastern Indiana. So its on the other side of the state for us. It’s great that you can get the work done at the manufacture but some of the stuff you are having them do could cause more trouble than they are worth. I find that the more I fix on my coach the more I learn about how to get myself out of trouble. Your manufacturer is by far one of the best but you are going to run out of warranty and fixing stuff will rather get very expensive or you will have to do it yourself. Start fixing the little stuff now will pay dividends in the future. After being in the maintenance business for 40 years there are so many things you can do yourself that will keep you on the road and safe. Keep having a good time and be safe.

We live 3h south of Elkart and have a RV dealer 15 min. from our house but we drive 3 hours to have our MH fixed by the factory service center even after the warranty was over. You are right, at the factory they have a way faster turn around and have the latest parts, etc. That said, Greg needs some dressing code classes... Flip Flops is not something you use outside during Indiana winter... 😂

@walterrafolski56625 ай бұрын
I have come to the realization that all rv’s have issues, after all they are a 7.4 earthquake rolling down the road. I’m with you about not going back to the dealer they all take too long because they can! I’m just glad that Brinkley is willing to fix them all, starting to wonder why they only offer a one year warranty on items that cost as much as these things do. I’m really looking at Brinkley because they seem to be built to a higher standard, hoping I’m right.
@wildrvlife5 ай бұрын
We really do feel like Brinkley is a much higher quality. After looking at many RVs, owning a different RV and talking to folks, we are still very impressed with them. And totally agree, there’s going to be some issues (it’s the same on a house that doesn’t have earthquakes every week lol) and the fact that ours are mostly all little cosmetic ones…we are quite pleased!
@martinbrand78595 ай бұрын
I do not agree with giving the Rv industry a built in excuse for poor workmanship. Planes, trains, cars, boats, etc… are built on a regular basis without the mayor issues that the Rv industry is infamous for. The fact that they have not figured out how to make better quality products is a testament to the inept management, leadership, and quality control throughout the industry. They have no issues charging the ridiculous prices for poor quality. An industry that has been around this long should have figured this out by now.
@wildrvlife5 ай бұрын
@@martinbrand7859 I’m not talking about the RV industry, I’m talking about Brinkley. They are on a much higher level when it comes to their quality control and standards. If you’ve ever watched shakedown trips of million dollar boats that are from good, reputable companies, you’ll see that there are ALWAYS issues. Sometimes with much bigger things. Like motors. I am not excusing poor quality control, I am being realistic about that fact that after we put probably three years worth of miles (compared to most folks) on a rig, that we would have never expected it to be maintenance free or not have some cabinets that need adjusting, etc. also, we have a very early model rig and like I mentioned, Brinkley has done a great job of taking user feedback/experience and making changes to improve their RVs. We’ve talked many times before about the RV industry as a whole needing to improve quality control and workmanship, but the thing is, if you really look at what Brinkley is doing, see their factory, talk to their employees….you’ll find that they are doing exactly that and trying to take it in the right direction
@walterrafolski56625 ай бұрын
@@wildrvlife I couldn’t agree with you more!
@martinbrand78595 ай бұрын
My reply was not about any one manufacturer but about the industry as a whole. The “it’s an earthquake going down the road” excuse is no reason for the Rv industry as a whole to not even try to put out quality products. All man made products will have their hiccups. That should be the exception, not the rule.

We are sort of reliving our past through Y'all. Our week goes by much slower because of waiting for your next video. Our travel through the U.S. was in a Hippie van., 1970 Ford E150. We later got a 21 ft. motorhome. Congratulations on your 12th anniversary. You guys are so likable and funny. Our anniversary will be the 60th in July. We plan to ride our Harley, 2 wheeler to our party.

I didn't see many RV Garmin responses, but the ones I saw take them down some small side roads as well. I have my RV Garmin set to mostly take highways and interstates, not the fastest route, and it still takes me through a neighborhood.

Happy anniversary. It's a hard pass on the snow. That's why we moved to south Carolina 13 years ago. Heck, we barely go back to visit any more. We make them visit us here. That way they can get a hotel or condo at the beach since they won't rent to us locals

Hahah I can understand that! We are definitely not long term snow people 😆

Just recently ran across your videos (channel?), but I am now hooked! You two (four, with the doggies) are truly experiencing life, and creating lifetime memories :) We do an 8,000 mile loop around the US every year in a span of 3.5 to 4 weeks in our 1988 VW Westfalia. My question to you guys is how do you decide on your next location? Do you have an extended travel plan?

Thank you for watching! We typically have a general idea of where we want to go and then days leading up to us going we us apps and websites to figure out where we can stay.

RV Garmin- we are in Ohio and it has taken us down some skinny back roads. We updated towards the end of our season last year (it was VERY difficult to update for some reason), so we are hoping it does better this season!

Good luck - I’m not convinced by Brinkley perceived quality - it’s no better than the rest out there. RV junk with a fancy wrapper. Thank you for your videos and travel adventures 😀👍
@wildrvlife5 ай бұрын
So, even though the walls, roof framing, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, frame and suspension are all objectively better quality than the majority of fifth wheels out there (really easy to see the difference if you look)…. Because there were a few cosmetic issues after almost a year of full time living and many miles put on it….the RV is junk? I’m not here to try and tell you to buy a Brinkley, everyone should get whatever RV they want, but I just like to give credit where credit is due, and it’s just simply not true that they are the same as the rest. However, we only know this from doing all our research prior to buying and now from our own experience of course, but I wouldn’t expect everyone to have watched the factory tours and researched the build quality/process, etc…so I can understand why you might not know! And thank you for coming along for our adventures!

Being from Colorado... those road snow tornados you're seeing are called "snow snakes"

Not sure if anyone else commented on this, but you could use a shop vac to get the dirt out of the doorway. Milwaukee makes a smaller vac, I think we saw you’re a fan of Milwaukee products. 😉

Happy Anniversary 🎊 🎉❤ thanks for sharing , love y’all got to go skiing , that was a great idea & place to go , we always enjoyed the less crowded ski resorts when our kids were growing up .

Thank you so much 🤗 it was really nice that we never had to wait in line! We’ve been to more crowded places and it can be a little stressful worrying about running into people

You guys are great! My wife and I are toying around with the idea of an RV. Just have to decide if Brinkley will fit the budget considering we only used our last RV 7-8 times a year. It’s jut so hard to settle on sub standard construction and service so I keep coming back to the higher priced Brinkley. Also, can’t decide on a bumper pull or travel trailer. My F350 (non dually) is being built next week so we still have time to decide 😅.

I’m understand the difficulty making a decision! We really struggled when trying to decide on our rig but have been really happy with our decision so far!
