I wasn't too sure about switching off from drafting white to black, but that game against the red blue player with Specter of Mortality was SUCH a satisfying W!

I really appreciate your commentary and insights. I also learn a lot watching you calmly react to the cards that come up and change your strategy later in drafts. It would be interesting in a draft like this where you have choice in secondary colors to see you play a game using the cards drafted earlier in a build (green-white) before you pivoted (green-black) just to compare card strengths and deck strategies to your original thoughts.

#Clutchcards Very nice learning!! I would have gone with the GW strategy since you picked that 4/4 that cared about auras. But turning to black turned out to be a really great decision. The recursion really made your deck superb. I think there was a lack of removal (and you mentioned it) as a there was a lack of dealing with flyers. But your deck puts pressure on the opponent early on so... Great job, thank you

Great content and clear explanations. Thanks for that. Can you explain or anyone else how do you learn the cards of a new set? The fact that you immediately know all the cards is insane to me 😅

seems like a pretty fun draft enviro but LotR will be hard to top. That was my fave draft format since getting back into MTG after a 13 year break in 2018.

Going to my first every prerelease today(its 6am here in south africa) from what iv seen red and black individually seem really strong in this draft...lots of low rarity removal and swarm... You should be thankful that your one opponant drew their moss knight whilst on 2 life since that cards recursion is really annoying in sealed as afar as I can tell from all the preprerelease events online

It's a peeve of mine when opponents say "oops" and "nice" when they kill a good creature of yours. For this, I'm so glad you beat Alexander in whichever game that was. I do love how they get so quiet once it looks like they're losing.
@avocadoarmadillo7031 Жыл бұрын
I don't mind it too much, what is really annoying are players who start waiting until the very end of their time the moment they start losing. Tried to squeeze an esper control game in during a lunch break and had to ff because of it ,🤣
@AdamMarland Жыл бұрын
He said "Oops" because he should have used the burn spell first, thus equipping his creature with the Young Hero Token prior to combat allowing it to get its +1/+1 counter. He also said "Nice" because a good creature was dropped with a synergistic reply. He wasn't being rude, he was being friendly.

Indeed. I always like to assume the best from people and I like when my opponents act human with stuff like this.

If you are Not that aggro so rather midrange, why don't you looked for some removal aswell? :)

Curiosity combos infinitely with Niv-Mizzet, but it's still a good synergy if you cast enough instants/sorceries.

That’s the one! As soon as someone told me, “There’s a Curiosity Combo this set,” I was just thinking of the Niv-Mizzet infinite pings!

Do you dedicate time to actively learn the cards outside the game or do you just learn the cards while playing? You seem to know them all pretty well.

I just don’t think Knightly Valor is very strong, and as you saw, I didn’t even end up in White.

Hi! I have a question: you seem to focus only on the deck you’re building, totally ignoring the fact that all the strong cards not picked by you will eventually end up in your opponent’s deck. Will you do the same in a “live” draft or only on Arena because you know you’ll probably never play against the people you have drafted with? Thank you
@YayapLives Жыл бұрын
As a rule of thumb hate drafting isn't the best strategy. You're hurting your own pool just on the small chance that you might play them down the line. You're also sending confusing signals to other players who might jump into your colors. In an eight-person round robin tournament it might make some sense, but in a larger pool of players where you might just be hurting the power level of your entire table only not to play against most of them it's generally a questionable strat.
@La_Lente_Oscura Жыл бұрын
On arena you want to pass good cards not in your colors, it locks people into those other colors.

prediction for the set: they shouldn't have included adventures. there's a bunch of good stuff that will just be overshadowed by the value of free two for ones.
