But doesn’t the liver contain all the toxins? The liver filters the toxins, so wouldn’t they be consuming toxins in the liver? I don’t think that’s a logical explanation for them only eating the liver.

Think about it, we find most mammals cute, and the fact that in the ocean, the cutest animal we can think of are Dolphins (mammals) Now you have this specie of mammal that live in the Ocean, not seeying many other mammals that much. Orcas are creatures of great intelligence and power. They have similar life spans and social structures to humans. It's a shame some of them are stuck in small tanks in marine parks. Corky and Lolita/Tokitae have been in captivity since 1969 and 1970. Corky is a Northern Resident from British Columbia. She's a member of the A5 pod, A23 matriline. She has a sister named Ripple, brother Fife, niece Midsummer, great-nephews Fern and Ne'nakw, and great-niece Eliot. They are often seen around Vancouver Island. Corky lives at SeaWorld San Diego. Lolita is from the Southern Resident orca population. She is the sole survivor of the infamous Puget Sound Penn Cove captures. Lolita's mother, L25 Ocean Sun, is over ninety years old. Lolita had an older sister named Tsunami, who died in 1982. Her pod is often seen in the calm waters near the San Juan Islands. Lolita lives in the smallest orca tank in the world at the Miami Seaquarium.

@obscurelyvague2 жыл бұрын
@@sola9298 It is instinct and just the way that certain animals are designed to "behave." When we consider how certain things are due to evolution the liver happens to be a nutritious part for carnivorous animals but probably not just killer whales. Probably a lot of other meat eating wild animals also eat the livers of their prey. But did the livers of animals evolve to be nutritious because carnivorous animals ate them so often? The two fit nicely together. After all, a species of animal will just automatically fade away or go extinct as a species if its natural diet does not provide proper nourishment . T his is not considering other factors such as being hunted by humans or humans encroaching on the land of certain animals etc. Maybe throughout the history of the earth, a lot o animals went extinct because of shifts in nature that the animal could not adapt to. It is interesting to note that Giant Pandas are very rare animals and that their diet consists almost entirely of bamboo shoots which are very poor in nutrition and thus a panda has to eat a lot of bamboo shoots to get proper nutrition. It is a very odd case of natural selection and it seems the panda eats something that cannot provide vitamins and/or minerals and other nutrients it needs in the quantity the panda's body requires. Is the Giant Panda "dumb"? Should it try and eat the livers of other animals? Organ meats for humans can actually be unhealthy

Panda dolphin would be a cool name. 🐼🐬 When I was in elementary school, I remember when my teacher mentioned that dolphins are rulers of the ocean, and how I didn't understand what she meant by that. 😄 About sharks and why they don't eat humans. There were some documentaries about that. They don't like eating humans at all. Scientists discovered that sharks only attack people if they are scared by them. So if you are swimming in a clear water and shark appear it shouldn't attack. Another thing is with surfers. They attack surfers because the surfing board reminds them of their favorite food - sea turtles. If the surfer is laying on the stomach on the board and swimming, there are high chances that a shark will attack.
