That looked like a perfect shot, the bullet would pass the moose nose and go through the heart and lung.

If a large magnum the bullet would have traveled down the neck and into the body cavity by looking at the angle when the shot went off. But most all lead core bullets fail on these moose and a deer gun 30-06 is just stupid and ignorant to use any place in Alaska. When guiding hunters in Alaska I am using one of 3 rifles a Winchester mod 70 in 338 win mag - - CZ 550 in 9.3x62 Mauser and top end reloads or a Brevex Mauser in 8 mm - 378 Wby mag that is Thors death hammer shooting Barns X bullets in 185 and 200 grain Barns X

Unethical shot !?? I guess maybe ! Unethical Guide too ! That’s a severely selfish & ugly shot called greed ! That Guide is responsible for the hunter & the kill shot ! This Guide is a joke. He should have guided the bunter to wait until that moose’s chest was open and or he stepped broadside ! But instead this Gujde could care less, because he too is a clown who doesn’t respect our Wildlife and/or its laws ! I will no longer watch this Guide. He’s just as much of a Bozo as his hunter who shot that beautiful, majestic Moose in the face ! Unbelievable.

Wow .. bad bad very bad shot ... u had the broad side to you, and u took a headshot?? Wow .. that's why people find dead moose with half of their faces missing because of people like this...

Wow, that was a messed up shot placement. It happens I guess.

First bull was probably bigger and had three brow tines on both sides. So legal for sure. However he didn’t give 2 shits about your calls and was eating. Sometimes they just don’t care. If that one had 3 brow tines you could have shot him between the eyes but that’s dangerous if you need to get a 50” measurement as you could break the skull.
