We all quest after tone, and want to see players tear it up online for hours on end, but there's something deeper that goes when you see a player run up and down the fingerboard. There's depth to the mind of a guitarist that needs to be appreciated -- history, ideas, creativity, expression, pseudo-insanity -- all of it exists beneath the surface, and sometimes we just need to take a little time to listen.
