Ok it seems Greg knows EVERY Eric Clapton song throughout his entire career. What a student of guitar. Great strat by the way like the aged finish on the ash body.

Be aware that the Clapton Stratocaster with the boost of has 12 DB mid boost. The same as a hot Gibson Les Paul. As Humbucker power doubles with every 3 DB mid boost a 15 DB mid boost guitar has the double Humbucker power of a 12 DB mid boost guitar ( Gibson Les Paul) a 18 DB mid boost guitar has 4 times the Humbucker power of a 12 DB mid boost guitar. A 21 DB boost guitar has 8 times the Humbucker power of a 12 DB mid boost guitar. A 24 DB mid boost guitar has 16 times more Humbucker power than a 12 DB mid boost guitar. At 25 DB mid boost the Clapton Stratocaster is more than 17 times more powerful than a Gibson Les Paul Humbucker wise. The reason it starts at 12 DB mid boost is because it has Humbucker pick ups. Vintage noice less pick ups are Humbuckers. The Lace senzor pick ups that were there earlier were even more powerful than the Humbucker pick ups in the Clapton signature Stratocaster. So this is as far away from a Stratocaster you can possibly come. Clapton himself does not see it as a Stratocaster. He writes in his self biography he used a Stratocaster for 8 to 11 years. He started playing the Stratocaster in 1974 ( yes his earlier solo albums were recorded with a Gibson Les Paul ( see page 179 in his self biography ). In 1982 Clapton was fed up with the Stratocaster and signed for a Company called Strings and Things. They made his first signature guitars and had great Humbucker guitars. Clapton at this time was looking for the most powerful Humbucker guitar available. A year or 2 later Fender offers Clapton the most money ever given to a guitarist to sign with Fender. Clapton answers ” If you can make Me the absolute most powerful Humbucker guitar in the world I sign with Fender ”. Fender suceeds with making the absolute most powerful Humbucker guitar the world has ever seen and Clapton signs with Fender. Thats the guitar Clapton has used since early 1986 and became the Clapton Stratocaster in 1988. Its without a doubt the absolute most powerful Humbucker guitar in the world still today. Clapton played a Stratocaster from 1974 to December 1985 but has to deduct the contracted time with Strings and Things and therefore Clapton says he played a Stratocaster for 8 to 11 years. If you buy this guitar be sure to have a very powerful amp as a normal amp Will break down immidiately from the brutal power of the Clapton Humbucker Stratocaster.

It is very sad to see that the world believes that this guitar is the best update they have ever created for Eric Clapton, and those who really know his songs, his history, know that the version with the LACE SENSOR GOLD pickups has a better sound to his style. And simply his guitar between 1998 and 200 was the best. Too bad this happened to the best blues guitarist that ever existed in the world. The best solos, his best performances were the version with the pickups of the lace sensor gold. Noiseless murdered the guitar. Lace sensor gold has the characteristic sound of the 50s with more brilliance. The fender should once again produce Eric Clapton's old guitar, instead of doing marketing by creating a new pickup like the noiseless, which is very weak, even if it cuts more noise. I have been studying Eric Clapton's history for over 20 years, I am sure he was not the one who asked for the pickups to be changed, a pity this happened. Compare the guitar from 1998 to the 2000s with these new ones from 2001 onwards, Lace sensor gold is much more enjoyable to hear, play and even better when you see Eric Clapton playing, especially in the show he did in 1999: Eric Clapton & Friends in Concert: A Benefit for the Crossroads. www.amazon.com.br/ERIC-CLAPTON-CONCERT-BENEF-DV/dp/6305610460
@MrJackal434 жыл бұрын
Rodrigo Picovsky total crap... the Lace Seneors are active “noiseless” pickups numbnuts. Hence the upgrade from the noisy old 50’s and 60’s stock pickups he used on Blackie, which he used to record ALL his major hits on... the only reason he switched to lace senors were for live situations because his old tube amps are loud and noises with stock Fender single coils, notoriously noisy for live sets especially for those who play with a lot of gain like Clapton. These pick ups are great.
@colunasemdores4 жыл бұрын
Supreme Commander of the Solarverse First of all, i spoke my opinion, studied for more than 20 years. I have the 2 pickups, and there are also many videos on the internet proving what I say, people exchanging the noiseless pickups for the lace sensor gold, old ones used by Clapton. I believe you have never used lace sensor gold, do not understand how much it has a much brighter sound and it was what Eric Clapton used most in his career. And I also realize that you have not researched that the two are made with 2 coils! Both cut noises! Much less do you know that at the time the fendee stopped producing guitars with Do Eric Clapton with the Lace sensor, it also stopped producing Buddy Guy's, Jeff Back among others, for pure marketing for her to earn money from the pickups themselves, and this is not wrong, the company has its position, it does what it wants. Now my opinion will never be crap, especially from a person like you who doesn't understand that it is an opinion. If you didn't like it, it's your opinion. And if you didn't like it, search more, because 3 people agree with what I said. And I didn't have to offend anyone here! have a nice day! Oh and one more thing, if this wasn’t just marketing from fender to switching pickups, why didn’t they create a noise gate to cut the noise from the amplifiers? Watch the DVD that I put in my first comment, there are no noises in this and others shows by Clapton with Lace sensor gold! Have a nice day!

Why do they make new guitars look used? Why not just nitro finish then and let the player get those battle scars.
@OldPathTraveller4 жыл бұрын
Because some people like guitars to show up feeling “lived in”. To look like an old guitar that’s been loved into comfort. Not everyone wants to play a guitar for 20 years to get there.

@@OldPathTraveller yeah but like I said those are battle scars. If some dude just did that in a factory it's not going to be the same as a guitar YOU wore in. It's like getting a tattoo of a war you weren't in.
@apophispnw57174 жыл бұрын
@@MrSageXP not saying I dont like them all worn in but why not do it yourself why buy it like that new from the factory. Seems cheesy or phony. Like buying new Jean's pre ripped and filthy looking, or getting a Chinese tattoo when you're a white person who doesnt speak the language. People can do whatever they want, but just weird that youd pay extra to have a factory do that for you. Would you go to the car dealership and ask them to beat up a brand new car for ya? Or take an old mint condition classic muscle car and ask the owner to ding it up and scratch it before you come pick it up? Lol
