oh my god, I'm so glad someone found these and uploaded some of them!!!! I've been looking for these for YEARS, I used to rent the VHS tapes all the time as a little kid!! It's wild how much of it comes back to me as I watch!

0:15 is this Golden Book Video logo which was taken from many of the “My Little Pony” G1 VHS tapes from 1988 through 1989. This is better than the “Space” logo. 0:30 is the intro with the music which was later used for WNEW-TV’s “Big Apple Movie”.

My nostalgia factor is through the roof!!!! I had this on VHS when I was a child. I haven't seen it in 27-28 years, but I remember it well. I watched it all the time. I've even looked for The Boy who Cried Wolf portion on here before. Thank you so much for posting this. It really reminds me of a very happy time in my childhood

Moral of the story, at least for me: *If you have an oppurtunity, take it immediatly. Dont sit there overly celebrating and filled with hubris only to miss out on your chances due to a lack of efficiency.* That wolf lost its dinner because it was too fond of itself instead of celebrating catching the lamb by enjoying some fresh lamb meat. We see this trope everywhere in movies, where someone kills a character, starts shouting happily over their bodies only for that character to get up from pretending to be dead and getting some payback. Life is uncertain and unpredictable, so you better not be certain and thus, to others predictable.

Makes sense. Both cartoons (along with Merlin's Cave) are from Japan, so it could be possible that they were dubbed by the same company and voice actors.

The music near the end when the wolf was getting his comeuppance was Awesome by Craig Palmer, the same music for The Boy Who Cried Wolf. That explains why Daffy Duck nicknamed it, the 80's pop music.
