Great episode as always, feel bad for flint, and hope the Afghan boy is ok, and it’s good Rufus is reconsidering his decision to run off again, and I hope he will change his mind, while I agree with SonicPlayer that having him go back and forth over and over and over and over again would be annoying, I’m ok if he goes back to Wilford Heights a third time if it’s just the last time and no more back and forths after that except if he goes to live with Flint after this conflict is all over, especially if he just says that’s what he’s going to do but that thing happens after the events of the ending of the series. I agree to disagree on that part. I know I am late to the party but I just wanted to get it out, and I know Nick has moved on to other things, but I have my fingers crossed he will come back at least just one last time for closure on the series finale.

I didn't even realize the text getting redder each chapter until you mentioned it in another comment! I wonder what else went over my head during the series. I noticed there's a lot of paying it foward here. Flint was given a chance from a gas station owner, and he did the same for Rufus. Maybe Rufus will inherit the place one day if Flint never gets to reconnect with his family. Plus, Jessica taught Paul some valuable life lessons, which Paul taught to Rufus, and he taught it to Flint. It's kind of funny how it went from youngest to oldest on that life advice. Maybe Jessica should consider being a psychologist or something.

Many guesses right on the target: Chapter 18 does tackle Flint's military history and him sharing it with Rufus. Let's review. Flint serving in Afghanistan and bonded with a young boy in one of the villages, before he talks about the "unfortunate incident" regarding this young boy that soon would have Flint get discharged. Oof, that must've hit really hard on him not knowing if that young boy survived or if he is dead. Nice to learn some insight on how Flint got the gas station too. Other than that, not much else to cover or really say, Flint's military experience speaks for itself, and it is something. Near the ending I also got the feeling after the conversation between Rufus and Flint ended that, very soon, Rufus will soon return to Wilford Heights to finish what he started and give Paul some assistance against P.A.B., just a prediction since we're getting into the serious stuff now. I can't wait for the next chapter "Responsa". 😎Great job to everyone who worked on the chapter.

At this point, I’m not really sure if it’s even a good idea to give Rufus a third Wilford Heights journey. Especially if Nick is just gonna keep bouncing Rufus back and forth between Flint’s and Wilford Heights, which I would find really annoying.

An alright episode. But I have a question. If Flint doesn’t know what happened to Mohib, then why in Episode 8, does flint say “They’re not even third degree! Come on! We can fix him!” during that nightmare he has?

Not sure. I just follow whatever Nick puts in the script. Maybe he was sleep talking from the POV of a field medic or something. 😎

Assuming it's not a continuity error, maybe Flint briefly woke up when he was being taken to get taken care of. If it were a memory, Flint could've been telling everyone to stop saving him and to look for the kid. "They're not even third degree" was probably Flint talking about himself, saying he didn't need immediate medical attention and to help Mohib if there's a chance of saving him.

Yeah, Devario. I thought that his mom died of sickness when he was a kid. I didn't know he killed her. I thought he was jailed in 2016 for abusing Rufus only, not murder.

I’m curious about that myself. Nick didn’t provide much backstory to some of these events when writing the scripts, so any guess as to the extent of Dyleski’s crime would be speculative.
