I agree that it’s hard to see August have a panic attack, and it’s clear that his father’s suicide/addiction and his own addiction, anxiety and body dysmorphia is causing him pain, but I don’t for a second believe he’s sorry about what he did to Wille and Simon, only that he got caught and is feeling consequences and is terrified of punishment. He couldn’t give a shit about what it’s done to both boys. He has no empathy or compassion for others.

Did you notice how Marcus in a very veiled way never respected Simon's boundaries, and never listened to what he said to him?? That to me was a huge red flag, and Simon, being as nice as he is, relented but always looked uncomfortable

I agree - the first time you watch it, it’s not as noticeable, but I’ve rewatched so many times and it’s glaring. Marcus: Do karaoke with me! Simon: No, no, no, no, no (Marcus makes him anyway) (spoilers for other episodes) Marcus: I could come to your rowing thing? Simon: Nah you don’t have to (Marcus shows up anyway) Simon: I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready to be with you. Marcus: I know you don’t want to ruin something as beautiful as this. He’s not aggressive, but he’s definitely pushy and not taking Simon’s words seriously.

I think it's interesting that Wille is upset with the Royal Court and his mum making decisions for him without including him (knowing about August before his statement denying the video included). But Wille made the statement without letting Simon know he was going to do that before hand, and now not letting him know about August either. Making decisions for Simon without including him. He hasn't made any changes concerning Simon since before the break - almost like he ignored Simon's breaking up with him - and isn't even referencing the break up when they interact.

I’m sorry I keep leaving comments lol. I think one of my favorite things about this season is getting to see Wille and Simon both grow as individuals outside of their relationship. There is so much complication that they really needed to build up that strength. Otherwise, their relationship will never work. We get to see both of them understand each other’s position more and get onto the same page. I’m not going to give any spoilers, but what I will say is that this season left me in emotional shambles in the best way ever.

The writer explained Wille has an unlabled sexuality. The only thing we witness is he is in love with Simon. That doesn't define him or his sexuality.

Personally I loved the premiere, I was so invested in every scene and what was going to happen. Wille/Simon are just the cutest and their tension in this ep was so good. The chemistry of the actors is insane, it's just so clear in all their scenes how much they still love each other. Marcus seems nice enough but sorry, Simon just can't let Wilhem go yet. I loved Wilhem tellng off his parents! That was so satisfying lol.

Just watcehd ep 1. I'm so terrified for the budding friendship between Wilhelm and Alexander. Willie doesn't have a lot of friends other than Felicia, so it's really meaningful. But when Alexander finds out, what's going to happen?

I actually had no issue with the other relationship stuff in this season because Lisa handled it so well and made it very clear that no matter what happened Simon and Wille only want and love each other. But Marcus? 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

I binged the entire season the first day it was available....and I was disappointed. Much ado about nothing. The lack of plot and character development is sad...the entire season could've been edited down to 2 episodes, making the final scene of the finale a launch point for 4 episodes of the reactions to Wilhelm's speech....instead, we slog through furtive glances, pining, and a silly subplot about Simon and another boy you know is going to go nowhere. Instead of pushing the palace reaction to season 3, we could've had a great season 2 and set up an even better season 3...intead, They sacrificed season 2 to mediocrity and make us wonder if we even care enough about a season 3. Disappointing.
