The actors are indeed incredible. Edvin, Malte, but also Omar. Lets keep in mind that YR is Omar's first acting job! And he's so good with his mimics, too. They still hit the authenticity so hard.

This season just further showcases how deeply moving, realistic and soulful this show is. It was hard seeing Wille struggle so much while feeling isolated and having to learn how to let his emotions out (which his parents clearly discouraged or condemned with him or his brother). His resilience (as well as Simon's on other aspects) is very touching

I totally get you with some scenes making you anxious. While I love ti see Wilhelm pushing back, watching it does make me uncomfortable too. It's the same with certain kibds of humor that some find hilarious but I just find uncomfortable. I can't help but empathize with characters. And sometimes even characters I don't like. Like I want them knocked down but then part of me feels bad. Or maybe it feels like it's happening to me or something, I'm not sure.

I totally understand…he (Malte) who plays August is so sweet IRL. He is so attractive as well. Hard to believe I hate his character so much! Same with Bash who plays Ben on Heartstopper, an absolute sweetheart IRL.

Watch the last scene of season 2 again and watch Simon's face ... from August getting up to Willie smiling at him... Easy to miss. but it was AMAZING ... August getting up - Simon's face =He is giving up the thrown for me .... Wille getting up - Simon's face = slight confusion . Wille starts his speech about tradition - Simon's face anger, this F^&%*&^ happening again i put myself out there and he is choosing the crown . Wille goes off script - Simon's face = WHAT the hell is happening..cautiously optimistic. Willie starts taking about the tape - Simon's face = embarrassed, shocked, confused, discomfort. Wille turns and smiles - Simon's face uncertainty, awe, then F&*^ I didn't love him before. THIS. This right here is LOVE and he just melts. LOOOOOOVE IT

Vs August, our empathy is at war with our sense of justice. We just have to remember that the feelings of his victims are more important than his own feelings. Whatever August is feeling is the natural consequence of his own actions, and he has to suffer if he is ever to grow some emotional maturity.

See I would agree with you about August but I just really feel like he is not feeling guilty because he realizes that what he did was wrong, he is feeling guilty because there are consequences to his actions. He only says sorry to Wille, he is stressed because of Wille, because he knows Wille has more power than him and can make him pay, he is worried for himself, he doesn't give a fuck about Simon position in all of this, and that tells me that he doesn't actually feel sorry for what he did to them, he is just suffering now the consequences.

re your comment about the actors emoting with their faces.... this season required A LOT of reading .... reading of faces, body language / carriage , clothing . Wille and Simon are by themselves in a lot of scenes ... or not talking. when they are together but you get so much from those scenes.

What August did was unforgivable but I don't hate him. The royal family made everything worse, they could of fixed this and held August accountable. But now wille is doing exactly that and I love it

I haven’t liked Marcus at all, not from the very beginning, & especially not as the season progresses. I’ll be curious to see how you read him as time goes on. I find him to be an absolute nightmare. No spoilers. It’s not a big thing, just lots of little things.
