I just bought a Mitchell m100 and it truly needs all the help It can get. Man I have never had so much trouble setting up any guitar ever. Lol. The thing is hard to tune to start with but then I set the truss because of the God awful buzz on the strings and getting the intonation right is a nightmare. If you have ever tried to do this with one of these then you know what I'm talking about. But thank you for the chance

i have an old BC Rich Mockingbird (my first guitar that my parents bought me back when i was 13). it’s been collecting dust for the last 10 years, and winning a bridge from a contest seems like the perfect way to reignite my passion for that instrument (especially since its original Floyd Rose was sub-par, and that was the main reason i stopped playing it in the first place). hopefully this entry isn’t too long, but good luck to everyone else!

Just ordered one for 35 shipped. Looks like a gotoh clone. Gonna get the steel upgrade screw and a brass block should be less than 75 bucks all in.

I have a 90's rg550. I understand licensed floyd rose at that moment were nice quality against the current ones but I wonder if this wilkinson woul be even better or if I should keep the old one

Personally I think that the Wilkinson M series FR is much better than the FR special. The saddles are much harder.

Keep the old one. The 90s Edge tremolos are some of the best Floyds out there. It's also made by Gotoh, IIRC.

Very good quality. Very stable. Come to find out Wilkinson Ghoto and Musiclily are all connected. I will always like the 1000. However this bridge is right up there. Out of 5 that I purchased I did receive one defective one though. Appeared to be used.

@@duncanbooth3778 Better than a special all day. Where it has the 1000 beat is the saddles and Trem bar function. The 1000 shines in base construction, fine tuners, and is proven over time. The steel on the Wilkinson seem to be excellent as well as the chrome plating. But time has not proven the quality with the wedges yet. I will definitely update how it's holding up later.

These tremolos are good, but they are not better than a floyd rose 1000. These are the same in quality as a floyd rose special. Steel baseplate with zinc saddles and zinc mass block. The floyd rose 1000 is all steel. In my limited experience with these wilkinson tremolos, they are every bit as good as a floyd rose special at half the price.

That happens with steel :), its good quality, personally i dont like the small size of the bridge but it is smooth. And how high did your whammy bar sit? I cant seem to push mine down any further even though i removed the little screw

Isn't this basically a bootleg? Someone slapping the Wilkinson logo on a cheap FR copy? Never seen a Wilkinson FR before (and it's not on their website nor on their reverb store). They defo license their hardware to makers like Gotoh or Sung Il but nothing seems to be plain Floyd clones. Even the name seems off, m-series is a thing, but it's their line of pickups. Happy to be corrected tho.

No its not a cheap copy. Wilkinson , & Musiclilly, are somehow related to Gotoh. As a matter of fact I have ad here that actually says Wilkinson by GOTOH. It's a quality bridge that in my opinion exceeds the FR Special. All stainless saddles and quality parts with 1st rate chrome plating. On top of the awesome tuning stability. This Tremolo were previously only available overseas. Musiclilly is who provides them now. It's also on the outside of the box.
