Some people prefer Messi and some people prefer Ronaldo but everyone loves Ronaldinho ❤ Ronaldinho would have easily been a top 3 player however his prime only lasted about 4 years while he was in Barcelona due to his typical Brazilian partying lifestyle 🫣🤷😂 As it is he is still top 6 for me ❤️ He retired in 2014. There is another Brazilian of his caliber and they played around the same time and were in the same Brazilian team. His name is Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima. He went by the name Ronaldo and not be confused with Cristiano Ronaldo. He was arguably even better than Ronaldinho, but he suffered three career ending injuries and still won a world cup after that. The injuries really affected his overall career however. In his prime, no one could touch him.

What makes Ronaldinho beloved throughout the world is his absolute love for the game and his love to entertain the fans. In that regard, he's a lot like Magic, with the same charisma and the same smile that lights up a room. The problem is that what makes him loved (his lack of intensity and love to have fun and entertaining) is what makes him less effective than the very top players ever, though he has as much talent as they do. But he is lazy and loved to party! But when he wants to be on, he could take over games by himself, and his talent was so immense that despite all his negatives, when he was at his peak (3-4 years), he was considered the very best in the world at the time. fun fact - CRonaldo would relentlessly ask Deco (Portugal national team, but also Dinho's Barça team mate) about Ronaldinho's plays. if you do a comparisson of plays you can clearly see it, the difference is Ronaldinho's tricks look a lot more natural. and Yes, Messi played with Ronaldinho at Barça, if i'm not mistaken his first goal was an assist by Dinho. at peak level to me Ronaldinho was the best ever, the "only" problem is his peak didnt last as he loved to party and not train that much.
